I thought Tom Segal tipped Blackstairmountain and Riverside Theatre today, yet looking at the RP it claims that he "kicked off with a 12/1 beauty"?!
March 16, 2010 at 16:17 #282935He tipped menorah in the first i suppose he is bound to get a winner sometime.
March 16, 2010 at 16:17 #282937They were his ante post selections’ for those respective races whereas he put up Menorah and A New Story today.
March 16, 2010 at 16:18 #282938And A New Story in the 4pm
He does one in every race through Cheltenham
March 16, 2010 at 22:50 #283081It would be churlish to deny that he had a fantastic day today.
March 16, 2010 at 23:33 #283105A journalist who states his opinion and sticks by it, which makes him almost exceptional in racing.
Top man.

Indeed it would although Menorah’s win owed a great deal to the re-siting of the last hurdle and he also starts his assessment of the final two races by saying ‘the last two races aren’t my cup of tea’ which would hardly inspire the greatest confidence.

Cup of tea or not, he managed to pick the winner of the XC Chase….did he not?

Nobody can deny him the winners and good luck to those who backed them – hopefully they avoided his ante-post selections (presumably the stronger advices?) – but sounds as if the Cross Country selection was just one to make up the numbers – hard to tell I know because everything is 1pt.
