but you probably weren’t born when they last won the league and may not see them win another – by your twisted logic Aston Villa are bigger than Man C and Chelsea and Huddersfield are bigger than Spurs

desperately living in the past because the present and future are bleak..
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha…
April 14, 2014 at 10:54 #475612I cant fathom why Rogers left Swansea……

April 14, 2014 at 16:13 #475635Fingers crossed for Liverpool (10/1 looks good now). Although do think bookies have over-reacted, should not be odds-on. Now they are favourites the pressure will be immense. Often counts against clubs not used to winning it.
Value Is EverythingApril 14, 2014 at 21:25 #475680To be guaranteed at this moment in time L’pool still have to win all 4 games, Henderson has been the legs and engine in the midfield and has run more miles than anyone, will be a miss now suspended. Better to be in pole position with 4 games left then chasing however.
edit – on the flip side of the pressure you have the momentum of 10 wins on the bounce which gives confidence.

April 15, 2014 at 10:22 #475711If Liverpool beat Norwich then the bonus of the Chelsea game is that it is sandwich in between the 2 legs of Chelsea v Athletico Madrid champions league semi final ties not something in which Chelsea can take lightly, whilst the reds will have their feet up. How serious was Hazards injury the other week? if he’s ruled out it limit’s Chelsea’s attacking options.

April 15, 2014 at 13:02 #475725Well Jamie Carragher was "totally convinced" about a month ago, I’m confident but not convinced yet as Palace away won’t be a given. I do expect us to win both our home games and beat Norwich. City still have to go Goodison, Everton have great home form so I can see City dropping points there. Yaya Toure out for a couple of weeks will be a big miss, so will Hendo for us.
Liverpool have all the momentum and the fans are bleeding every ounce of desire from the team with their passion. Chelsea getting Atletico was a good draw for L’pool as Madrid work their back-sides off so two tough games in a row.
I think Liverpool will thrive under pressure, the botched clearance from Kompany that led to Countinho’s cool and composed finish shows this, would of been so easy for Countinho to go for power and sky it.

Yes, take a look at the difference between the timing and in particular the technique of Kompany’s clearance, leaning back and swinging to Countinho’s shot, extremely well balance and at the point of striking the ball both feet were off the ground at one point and you can see which side is feeling the pressure.

April 16, 2014 at 10:58 #475795Wish I had the confidence of you two.
There’s the added pressure of wanting to do it for The 96. Fact remains Liverpool’s defence is not as solid as most Premier League winners, it’s there that pressure might first hit… And if they go behind will put more presure on finishing.
Value Is EverythingApril 16, 2014 at 20:29 #475856Come on Sunderland 2-1 up with 7 minutes to go.
If City fail to win L’Pool can afford a draw in 1 of the remaining 4 games. It’s going to be a long 7 minutes.

My thoughts exactly Nathan.

If only Sunderland can do the same in three days time.
Value Is EverythingApril 16, 2014 at 22:37 #475877Title race down to 2 now, City have blown it with tonight’s result. Even with a game in hand they will struggle at Everton given that they too slipped up on a banana skin tonight.
Liverpool should also win the handicap this year, I have the top three as follows…
1. Liverpool 77 + 18 = 95
2. Everton 66 + 26 = 92
3. Crystal Palace 40 + 50 = 90
——————————-
4. Southampton 48 + 36 = 84
4. Hull 36 + 48 = 84

April 19, 2014 at 18:41 #476256Wenger got it wrong again……

Wenger – Chelsea let Mata go to United to dent rivals.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
He should of said Rogers let Fabio Borini go to dent rivals hopes.

Here’s one for ginge to listen to before the Norwich v L’Pool game tomorrow.

Anyone remember a song of the 1980’s about Liverpool FC in the 1980’s. Featuring radio commentry of Dalgleish scoring the European Cup winning goal amongst other things. It was in the John Peel "Festive 50" and possibly a Peel session song?
