Not sure how I ended up in here, but good luck Bobby with Plinth if you went
in, I couldn’t resist a few quid on SLOWMOTION, I’ve always had a soft spot
for her. 33/1 with Paddy seemed too big.

    All welcome here bigG :-)

*Tempestatefloresco* seems long at 12s for his race tomorrow with ground and distance to suit. He doesn’t look overly complicated so the 10lb hopefully will have an easy enough time.

Plinth wasn’t great the other day again, i would presume he’ll be a massive price for the hurdle now, defo worth a few pennies at a big price

Yeah Jack, despite the talk we’ve had, I was always going to go for another, but I’ll have to be with him in some shape or form now.

Graham, Slowmotion is another who’s gonna pop up at odds, she’s definitely better than recent form.

Grass, with you on Tempestatefloresco, got 12’s and 14’s. Know nothing about the jock, but assuming there is some sort of ability, 10lbs, is 10lbs.

Some good horses throughout this week at Killarney. I’ve just watched so far but will appease my itchy betting finger:

    2.45 My Direction 11-1 1pt win b365

For no better reason than I like the trainer and think horse will get the trip OK. Is available at 12s now and I get BOG but for the purposes of this thread I use the price at the time the bet was placed.

Capital Force out again today but I think it might finally be Roconga‘s turn to win. No bet though.

I see Balzac Turgot was pulled up early, lame and Robin des Foret jumped poorly and finished lame too in the same race earlier on in the meeting. Hope they are OK, both promising horses with a lot more to come if they get sorted.

Haven’t been able to watch much of the racing this week (no telly) except Kerry National and St Leger on my mobile. EWs on Saturnas and Southern France paid for my losers at least.
Think I’ll give up on Haymount for now, his jumping has gone to pot- losing a length or two and his rhythm at nearly every fence.

Robin des Foret has to give weight away in the novice chase at Listowel that Rathvinden won last year, but he is big enough to cope. I think the left handed flat galloping track will suit him better than Galway as he’s a long striding horse. I know he is not stable pick but I really like him.

Thanks. My picture cut out going to the second last so I missed the end of the race!! So annoying. My wifi connection looked perfect so dunno what happened, but this has happened to me before several times…don’t know whether to blame my phone, wifi, or b365. Assume is my problem or other people would be ranting.

Anyhow..from what I did see…nice work from David Mullins getting the horse settled when he was reefing at the off, got him lobbing around in a lovely rhythm jumping out of his stride and even when he was slightly short to a fence it didn’t check his rhythm. Nice confidence building round, lovely to see. Well done RdF and jockey. Might put him in your TTF comp :-)
(Please don’t tell me he made a balls of the last two and staggered home by a nostril  ).

Divin Bere makes his debut over fences tomorrow. He was only beaten a neck by Flying Tiger in the Fred Winter giving him 5lb then thrashed him at Aintree off levels, getting within a couple of lengths of Defi the process. He’s a bigger horse than Tiger and more chaser- looking and has had plenty of time to get over his wind op. Highway 101 did well last season but if the wind was DB’s weak link last season and has been sorted OK, I reckon he has too much for them.

Divin Bere was NR, which was bad news for Richard Johnson’s arms! There was no early pace and precious little cover for Flying Tiger who reverted to the type of his early juvenile hurdling career and fought like a demon. Instead of getting his head down and his back arched up over the fences he continued to fight with his head in the air, hurdling awkwardly over them. I felt sorry for horse, jockey and trainer…chasing debut definitely did not go to plan. Not their fault he’s just a bit bonkers.

Assuming he doesn’t have a sore mouth or back, I expect his near future includes loads of trotting poles and gridwork, a hood, and a bigger field with more front runners for cover for his next race if they can get it. Perhaps a change of jockey too. Richard Johnston suited him perfectly for the Fred Winter but maybe Lizzie Kelly could charm him into settling again. Then again perhaps she values her neck more highly! I hope he learns to settle; I’d love to see what he could do if he can relax and jump properly.

*Dis Donc* was a horse I liked the look of when I saw him in the parade ring at Down Royal last year. Should have plenty of scope for fences.

Dis Donc was a NR so still on -7.5

Sympa des Flos went well enough at Galway last time and connections had faith enough to scratch him from Doncaster sales.

5.20 Roscommon Sympa des Flos 11/10 2 pts win
