This is just downright offensive. I know that this is the internet and that one shouldn’t take everything seriously but this is taking it too far.

Just use the on-course commentary, having separate commentators just for TV is unnecessaryMarch 18, 2012 at 19:15 #397621Presenters

Matt ChapmanDon’t encourage me, Yeats, for goodness sake.
I have been having trouble sleeping recently so am hoping to put together a relaxing bedtime tape of John Hunt’s wittiest one-liners from At The Races handovers (his Christmas stocking wishlist of "pants and socks" being the highlight). Am hoping to add in a few of his commentaries from three-horse races (calm, relaxed, soporific voice, plenty of pauses in between occasional mentions of horses, no unnecessary mentions of ridiculous extraneous nonsensities like who is riding the thing). Should work a treat.
Have been expecting a deluge of praise on this forum for his Cheltenham bellowing on the radio but barely a word.
My choice for resident totty would be the delightful Alex Hammond. What a darling she is. Unlike Tanya, she is very bright, speaks very fluently, looks great and she has real screen presence. Shame she’s never been snapped up for terrestrial TV racing.
I hope the powers-that-be have plenty of hair gel on hand if John Hunt and his biggest admirer, Matt Chapman, ever both appear on the same programme in the Yeats dream team. I wouldn’t mind a share of the profits for the hair gel manufacturer.March 18, 2012 at 20:09 #397628Zoey Bird should never be allowed on the telly in my opinion.

March 20, 2012 at 18:01 #397860Who was the Chapmanesque ATR presenter who was being talked about in terms of a big future but disappeared just as quickly 4 or 5 years ago?…..did a lot of betting coverage and had a bit of flair for presenting……anyone remember?
