Patrick Kinghorn?
A little brash but I quite liked him, and he had a fair pedigree for the job being a scion of the eponymous Rails Bookmaking firm
Left ATR under a cloud if memory serves, can’t recall why
March 20, 2012 at 18:42 #397868Both McGraths, Mike Cattermole, John Francombe and any two posh people.

A google search would suggest a career packed full of clouds.
March 20, 2012 at 20:49 #397883Willie Carson, Richard Pitman, Jimmy Lindley and Peter Scudamore.
March 20, 2012 at 23:31 #397899What’s wrong with Tanya? I think she’s great.
McCririck amuses me – I like the **** he hands out to people.
Balding in the parade ring and the previous two with the bookies and it will be very good.
In my opinion Nick Luck is bored with racing and wants to be like Piers Morgan or doing politics.
I think they should get Mark Winstanley on terrestrial TV. Another one who amuses me.
I like Alistair Down’s approach but I fear some shiny little tv exec will off him. Francome and McGrath are like two blokes you’d dodge in the bar at the races. they sound bored with it all.
Tommo has enthusiasm, which is a saving grace in my book.

I’m not a massive fan of mocking people due to their appearance but then again, I am over 12 years old.
All hilarity aside…
Was it just me or did she appear drunk or at least delightfully hungover on Saturday’s Morning Line?
April 23, 2012 at 22:13 #401945Nick luck, Tanya Stevenson,Mark Howard, Matt Chatman, and that guy that said "Island legend ran of its face again!" but can’t remember his name. Are all excellent, talk facts, data and real racing talk. A vote can also go to Clair Balding.
The trouble is that I, like many of you on here are quiet happy to sit through hours of racing with out the silly hype, and listen and think about someone else’s informed opinion.(even if you don’t concur wit them all these presenters offer a good point of view.)
But for new comers and others, they need the farther Christmas effect. Serious players/punters/enthusiasts generally don’t need encouraging or reminding of what they have tuned in to.However people like Alistar Down must put people off, he should be on time time, or points of view.
Emma Spencer gets the nod, shes sexy, and racing needs that!
