I’ve been telling you all for years that Grayson is as straight as the M25
A chap can get paranoid, you know.

February 28, 2008 at 13:08 #147113Stoneacre Sarah 25’s into 5’s.
February 28, 2008 at 15:43 #14715033/1 into 7/2 and it..ahem…wins ‘well’.
Hmmm.
February 28, 2008 at 15:47 #147152The Stoneacre with the yellow hat didn’t get a tap…
February 28, 2008 at 15:57 #147155A fine result for racing.
February 28, 2008 at 16:09 #147162The funniest thing is he was interviewed on ATR 5 minutes before the race and said ‘I honestly believe 4 of these could win this race’. I’m just wondering how he managed to keep a straight face with Stoneacre Sarah’s odds dropping by the second.
February 28, 2008 at 16:17 #147166I enjoyed the way there was a false gamble on one of them on Betfair (about 20 quid) as a smokescreen. That said, any firm who priced the race up knew the potential pitfalls.
February 28, 2008 at 17:39 #147179I selected the "right" one on my website but didn’t get any of the fancy prices

never mind though at least I found the winner and thats what matters
February 28, 2008 at 17:44 #147182No, Jim, value is what matters!

March 8, 2008 at 17:18 #149105Possibly in a similar vein, possibly not, forumites may be interested to note that Evan Williams has six of the 10 runners declared for the 0-115 novices’ chase at Huntingdon on Wednesday.
A measure taken to make sure the race doesn’t re-open, or a statement of intent to try to have the race to himself? Discuss.

March 9, 2008 at 00:20 #149172It could be possible yes but as the stable has been fairly quiet of late maybe he needs races for his horses to run in and it may be case of finding a small race which will go unoticed as everyone will be concentrating on Cheltenham.
Maybe a rule should exsist on number of entries by a trainer per race but a trainer cant help what his horses will become wether it be a 5f sprinter or a 3m chaser
March 12, 2008 at 17:07 #150300Five declared in an eight-runner race, four withdrawn on vet’s certs, and the remaining one held in last place.
As Messrs Luck and Mellish have just said, they are in no position to vouch for the legitimacy of the withdrawals from their remove, but it would constitute a dereliction of duty for the stewards not to at least take a good long look at what happened at Huntingdon today.

March 16, 2008 at 15:31 #151810I fail to see what all the fuss is about if a trainer wants to enter loads of horses in the same race it’s his right. It’s also your right not back any of them if you feel it’s a problem. This all arises from the ridiculous notion that trainers have the faintest idea of the relative ability of their horses – dream on they’ve even less idea than jockeys.
