Indeed. Roger Brookhouse is a bit of a kook and seems to have an odd arrangement with the Pipes. He takes plenty of horses away from Pond House after one or two seasons (e.g. Chartreux, Seven Nation Army, Centasia) despite getting fairly decent results. He does pour huge amounts of money into the sport, but seems to be one of the more overbearing and controlling owners. Apparently, it was entirely his decision that Western Warhorse even ran in the Arkle last year, though that did prove to be a masterstroke.
Denis O’Regan seems to be the fashionable choice for a few owners at the moment. The Dunkley & Reilly Partnership, who own Ned Stark and The Pirate’s Queen, use O’Regan in preference to Wayne Hutchinson.
