    Exeter
    255 – Turban 9/1 £10 e/w (Paul Henderson/Paddy Brennan) Lost – £0

    £20 loss = £146.80

No problem with that one, he went to the front as I had hoped but didn’t have enough about him to be a challenger. Not a bad effort for the week and I’ll be looking to trim the fat in future with maybe the possibility of upping the stakes.

Nothing for tomorrow although there are a couple of jockeys going for one ride at Kempton. Nico de Boinville and Noel Fehily are on horses that need to improve drastically from their last run.

    Two for tomorrow

    Southwell
    110 – Tasaaboq £5 e/w 18/1 (Phil Mcentee/Josephine Gordon)

    210 – G Eye Joe £25 e/w 7/2 (James Given/Paul Mulrennan)

Tasaaboq is consistent here but hasn’t claimed a victory as of yet at the course. Hopefully Josie can get a tune out of him at a good price.
G Eye Joe is a very interesting runner as his only (tame) effort came in a hot class 2 maiden at Ascot when well backed at 9/2. He’s been off for 120+ days but there must be reasonable confidence in bringing him to this track and jocking Mulrennan up for just the one ride.

    110 – Tasaaboq £5 e/w 18/1 (Phil Mcentee/Josephine Gordon) unplaced 11/2

    210 – G Eye Joe £25 e/w 7/2 (James Given/Paul Mulrennan) unplaced 13/2

Well that was a kick in the teeth. Tasaaboq was backed during the day from 18s to 9/2 at one point. His race was over after he fluffed his lines at the start, made more frustrating by his strong finish to the race.

G Eye Joe, in hindsight, wasn’t a £50 risk worth taking but to be beaten a short head for 3rd was at the very least annoying.
I did say somewhere that I wouldn’t tilt at windmills with this system now but that’s exactly what I did and got my just desserts. Oh well, I’ve moved on already.

    £86.80
