Wednesday Yarmouth 4.20 – Beneventa 6.5pts
Rolling Double backers still trying your starter for 1pt I’m afraid.
Good luck.
September 17, 2003 at 08:23 #49056Hi Guys.
I’m back and I’m bad    (or should that mad!!)
Well, not quite ready to come back yet, although hopefully it will be within the next week or so.
Sorry I have not looked in over the last few days but, the cookin’, cleaning and seeing that the good lady has everything she needs, is taking more time than anticipated.
Oh, and yes MrE I can cook and I am known as a good little scrubber, and me teeff are now glued in fanks.
Snowman you sounded a little lonely in your penultimate posting, well, I can assure you that the likes of Matron and co; are all watching with baited breath for the next winner :o ;)

Back later with Thursday’s selection.
September 17, 2003 at 18:17 #49060Hello again Frosty…..Reasons to be cheerful, part three….. that was a song by somebody wunnit, same guy as done "hit me wiv your rhythm stick", can’t think of his name at the moment…. mmmmm….. this losing run is just what we want, we knew that it couldn’t go on like it was, it was just waiting to stumble, but it shows just how important a really sensible staking plan is. With Robo’s Plan another few losers will really start to hurt as the stakes creep higher and higher, I would go so far as to say that the lost stakes have almost become irretrievable with the next winner. in fact, 3 more losers could possibly wipe out your profit. The Rolling Doubles will outrun the lot of you, it can stand another 53 losers, no sweat….. it just hammers home the reasons why a steady and sensible staking method is money in the bank, losing runs are a fact of life, thats why this game is so hard,so the answer must be to make the winners pay more….. does that make sense ???… yeah, I think it does…. I just remembered, I think it was Ian Drury and the Blockheads….. now were all confused aint we….. hehehehe….. OK Frosty, you can take the brakes off now, lets be having them winners….

September 17, 2003 at 22:54 #49063Thursday 3.45 Ayr – Nights Cross 7.5pts
Good luck all.
MrE 16.5pts is the loss so far on this particular run so we would need a price in excess of 2/1 to get straight, in one hit anyway. At the moment Nights Cross is trading just a little higher than 5/2, so maybe tomorrow is Robotica’s day.
September 17, 2003 at 23:04 #49064Yeah Frosty, I know its not as bad as it sounds cos we can beat the SP hands down, at the prices I recorded that I would have taken from BF, we would’ve only been 10.75 down, nothing to worry about…. just took advantage to show how the various staking plans work out….. I like the yeah man stuff, as my grandaughter would say….. cool!!….. hehehe….
edited for smelling cos I’ve had a wee dram or four….

September 19, 2003 at 09:54 #49071Snowball….. I’ve got the principal meeting down as Newbury cos the prize money is far greater, how did you get Ayr. I believe that you may have looked in the RP to see what they say the main meeting is, that doesn’t work to the benefit of members. The Post doesn’t tell you what the meeting is the night before and lots of members don’t buy, or haven’t time to check the Online version before going to work. I have always used the total prize money as my guide to the meeting to bet at……. Robo, we need your advice……
MrE
September 19, 2003 at 10:20 #49073No Advice needed MrE unless Robo says Ayr ‘cos I agree with you. You beat me by about 15 mins I just came on to delete my post, Newbury is the main meeting as far as I’m concerned, but yes I was thrown by RP home page & never checked prize money
September 19, 2003 at 10:28 #49076Friday 2.25 New – Trade Fair 8.5pts
Highly unlikely to be a bet folks, trading at 1/3 as we speak and surely will never get near 10/11.
Sorry if I misled anyone with my earlier post. (you watch the other one go & win now:biggrin: )
September 19, 2003 at 10:34 #49079:biggrin:  , a common mistake Snowman, one that I have myself made on a couple of times in the past but, now I can add and subtract.
We are on a small losing run at present and the next winner is just around the corner (me ol’ bones are startin’ to ache again and this is always a good sign).
MrE and Snowman have made a valid point as to the current amount having to be staked by using the sp’s. At any one of the exchanges the stakes for today would indeed be quite considerably lower.

September 19, 2003 at 10:45 #49081Yes Robo, it’s worth hammering that point home I think. By using Starting Prices for the Analysis we are showing the 1AD system in a poorer light than is really the case, there can’t be many days when most of us couldn’t have beaten the sp sometimes by quite a bit, so no need for slashing of wrists yet.
