Really surprised with the price on Litigant here
Certainly a group horse running in a handicap if i have ever seen one. Just far too big a price to my eyes. Baker is booked for the ride.
win @ 16’s
November 1, 2016 at 20:59 #1270054Off the same weight as last year you can certainly see him going close-he’s ran two pipe openers in group 1s so will find this a tad easier-I’m also tempted by those odds.
Mirsaale is another who will find life a bit easier since being beaten by the excellent El Bandit at Chepstow and this dual performer is interesting back on the flat. He does look on a tough mark on the face of it on 97, but judging by his recent hurdles wins he may have improved sufficiently to bE competitive-he was set some tough asks in the Ascot Stakes and Coral Marathon so in this company may fare better. 20/1 is a good eachway bet.
November 1, 2016 at 21:22 #1270055Good luck Joliff, he was my second choice. I dont think i have seen an easier winner as him when he won earlier this year. A bit of rain would help him a bit though.

dont want to be picky but in actual terms Litigant is 4lb higher than last years win, just that 9.10 is the allotted top weight
good luck with him though
November 2, 2016 at 11:54 #1270173That’s why I was careful to say same weight and not same mark!
November 2, 2016 at 13:26 #1270181ok mate just thought i would post
GL with the bet
November 2, 2016 at 14:03 #1270185Thanks you too if you’re dabbling as well.
November 3, 2016 at 15:11 #1270326William Hunter for me at 33’s Each Way
November 3, 2016 at 18:21 #1270345I’ve done Fabricate 14/1 but I confess to this being my 3rd bet on him this season, last time out won 5/1
Will like a bit softer ground but definitely has the stamina for this race.)November 3, 2016 at 18:55 #1270350Had CAPE COVA at 8/1 for me
November 3, 2016 at 21:41 #1270381I haven’t studied the race like I’d like but I like PRIZE MONEY at 14’s
Suroor in fine form. Second best rated but carrying 8-10
group form.
Any rain would look to be a big plus.November 3, 2016 at 23:43 #1270393I have backed three
TAWDEEA 14/1
WILLIAM HUNTER 25/1
CAPE COVA 8/1I think this is definitely Tawdeea’s trip having ran over various distances this season.
Cape Cova could be anything but does look to have his own ideas about racing and could be outpaced at an important time if his mind is not fully on the job but as I said he could be anything.
William Hunter ran not great last timeout but before that looked progressive and won three out of four working his way up the handicap and the one he got beat in looked like he didn’t get home over one mile six.
They are my three but I would like to say some famous last words about some other runners…
Wrangler is slow and takes sooooooo long to get going 7/1 is an insane price!!
What About Carlo is a favourite of mine but cannot win over this trip!!
Fabricate is one paced and is half the price of Sir Chauvelin who has beaten him this season and is only a few pound worse off.
Prize Money has ran in some good races but I think it wants soft ground to show its best form.
Dashing Star was third in the race two years ago and is two pound higher with only one run this season ??(Could be a Elsie plot)
Montaly wants soft ground and further.
Qassem why are they running in this when its never ran further than a mile? but jockey and trainer make it interesting.
Sir Chauvelin has disappointed the last twice but has been frshened up since and could run well at a big price.
Erik The Red has no experience at the trip and looks the sort to stay on when its all over whatever the trip.
Soldier In Action is eleven pound higher than its last win!!
Green Light wants soft ground!November 4, 2016 at 00:40 #1270400I’m with Raymo on the chances of TAWDEEA, he’s all I’ve backed
at this point. I also took the 14s, but I see that Coral have edged him out to
16s. If you can get a bet on with that mob I reckon that’s a decent price.November 5, 2016 at 15:25 #1270864Eight non-runners, taking the day’s big handicap to three places only in the each way market.
Allied to the four NRs in the Badger Ales Chase at Wincanton, taking that down to seven runners, it seems as though the bookies are having a lucky day. A more cynical person might suggest that it was all fixed….
November 5, 2016 at 15:44 #1270870Wd Theo2013,
I blame everything on global warming myself. Soft ground at Royal Ascot, firm Ground in November. :)
November 5, 2016 at 16:02 #1270875Well Prize Money did go on the ground!! Well done Theo top pick!!
My three finished third fourth and fifth!! Close but no cigar!!
And I do think with a clear run William Hunter may have been placed!!
But strategic pace and the ability to get the right position at the right time is crucial in these races!!November 5, 2016 at 16:23 #1270889Well Prize Money did go on the ground!! Well done Theo top pick!!

Raymo, I only had TADEEA, originally on the nose, but stuck him on again today e/w as he was
was out at 16s. I didn’t know what Paddy Power would do with 15 runners, so when he was 5th I
thought I was down, until I noticed my balance was higher. Hats off to Paddy for paying 5 places
on a 15 runner race -
