Thanks THM, first race I had submitted outwith the actual forum itself, so was chuffed when my 2 picks were 1st and 4th…..phew.
That’s gutting for you with ADB, he would have went close. I feel your pain, been there many times before as you know. Totally with you, looks one to follow next year over fences.
April 11, 2015 at 11:40 #880830Oh dear; hate to tell you but I’ve also added Owega Star and Ely Brown to my ever expanding National portfolio. Fancied Ely Brown early in the season and read at the bookies that he’d had a breathing op.Also Owega Star has ran creditably in some very good races in Ireland and he’s well backed [annoyingly]on oddschecker today. After yesterday I think anything could happen today. All I’m wishing for is to get my money back, but feel it could be the first National when I don’t get one in the first 4/5.God luck VtC!
April 11, 2015 at 13:39 #880981Thanks moe, very best of luck, if Ely Brown, or Owega Star win, I’ll have to be sedated
April 11, 2015 at 16:53 #881277Owega Star finished, at least. My Saint Are was wonderful and Liam did really well. If Balthazar King is ok it’s been a good day, all in all. Many Clouds looks just like the horse in the Ch4 ad don’t’y’think? Will I ever get that 100/1 winner?
April 12, 2015 at 12:18 #882638Moe, I think Owega Star ran a decent race, I’d definitely give him another chance. Saint Are ran a stormer, huge run after his rise in the weights.
Of my 2 main fancies, chuffed to bits with Royale Knight, he just wasn’t quite good enough. As for Cause of Causes, less said the better, though I’m happy that I predicted Carberry would cost him the race, what a god awful ride again from him, I wasn’t happy at all, I’ll leave it at that.
April 12, 2015 at 13:16 #882670If only Royale Knight had got 5th I would have broken even yesterday and if I’d used my nicest names system I would have backed the winner! Learned a lot of lessons yesterday [but then I always do and go on to ignore them].At least a 7 year old didn’t win. I’ll still have my long priced bets but, in future I’ll wait till the day. Owega Star might be worth looking out for in next years Becher perhaps. And, if Ely Browns breathing op has worked he might become the horse he promised to be with a bit more experience.I’m glad I was right about Rocky Creek; having watched last years race again on Tuesday I’d forgotten how quickly he’d emptied. Oh well, need to move on to the Guineas which is actually my lucky race most years.
April 12, 2015 at 18:11 #883074I’m still trying to work out how I managed not to have 6 places Royale Knight, I put on loads, and I mean loads of bets for everybody yesterday, and every each way bet was with Betvic. I’m a clown
I’ll be keeping an eye on Ely Brown moe, his season hasn’t went to plan, and I’m a wee bit surprised they risked him with the prep he had. He’s got an entry in The Bet365 Gold Cup, I’ll see if he makes the next cut, but ideally they should leave him till next season I reckon.
Yeah, another year without a 7yo, though I did bet Cause of Causes, who’s 7. Though to be fair, it wasn’t his age that beat him (oops there I go again haha). The only trend I always use is to try and bet a horse who hasn’t ran in it before, and good to see yet another debutant win…………….though I could never have had Many Clouds yesterday, he wasn’t even on my radar. Even now, I don’t give him a chance
April 25, 2015 at 21:42 #919736Really want to have an ew accumulator on all of Graham Lees rides at Wetherby tomorrow but don’t know how to tie it up so that if one horse doesn’t place the rest still count…
April 26, 2015 at 13:16 #921122You have left out the winner VTC Hopes N Dreams!!
April 26, 2015 at 17:54 #921485Darn it; just got one 2nd. Worth following one jockey there..just chose the wrong jockey. Still, I would have kicked myself if Lee had ridden 4 winners. And I’ve learned about Lucky15’s even though they aren’t always lucky.
April 27, 2015 at 10:55 #922779No joy for either of us there Raymo
I had bet both Lady Gibraltar, and Fab Lolly, maybe got it a wee bit wrong
April 28, 2015 at 15:49 #9264891655 Punchestown
Macnicholson, The Game Changer, Jebril
50p Combination Forecasts, Tricasts+£1141.23
Pardon my language, but F’cking F’ck
April 28, 2015 at 16:16 #926598That is so unlucky VTC. You could have retired on that Tricast
April 28, 2015 at 16:32 #926641Thanks Homer, so close, had Macnicholson and The Game Changer each way, but no consolation……….oh well, onwards and upwards, I’m sure Baily Green at 180’s will put a smile on my face lol
Again, pardon my language, but F’ck F’ck F’ck
April 29, 2015 at 18:58 #929810VTC you are getting sooooo close !!!
April 30, 2015 at 00:04 #930043Cheers Raymo, still getting over that yesterday.
Got some consolation laying Baily Green off after the last for a profit, but was still rattled by that Tricast haha.
Better Wednesday with Bellshill, and Ballyadam Approach winning, so along with Macnicholson, The Game Changer, and Baily Green placing Tuesday, having a decent Festival, but could have been so much better if that tricast had landed. I’ll keep trying
April 30, 2015 at 14:04 #930361So VTC whats the fancies today??
