Little DingDing came 2nd today at 18/1. She breaks my heart, that little mare! And Lady Buttons won well. Touch and go whether Adam would be able to ride after a couple of bad falls but I’m so pleased for him. And his dad got a mention on W H Radio as well! Just looked at my ant post bets for Cheltenham and they’re absolutely dire; must do some studying….

Nearly the perfect weekend for you Moe, and wee Ding Ding keeps rewarding at odds, doesn’t she. I wouldn’t stress about the Ante-Post books Moe, we all focus on the good ones in the list, and conveniently forget the bad ones. I’ve got a few I’m happy with, and more than a few, I’d like to discreetly delete lol

Added a few for Cheltenham, but hopefully be laying more than backing over the next fortnight. Still got bets to put on for Close Bros, Coral Cup, and Grand Annual, but already close to that period when you start thinking, “I might as well wait until the day now”

Sheena works her magic at Plumpton again. I wish I didn’t live so far from the place; it’s fast becoming my favourite track! [by the way, I’m now backing everything that Ross Chapman rides, and I mean EVERYTHING [where did he spring from?]….]

One of those tracks I’d love to visit Moe, but a hell of a trek from Lanarkshire for me.

Yeah, great start from the boy, and I’d agree, he really has sprung from nowhere.

    Evening

Clash of the Titans still on in the x country?Still not convinced both go,we will see.Mentioned that Federici had some banks form a long time ago, unlikely but he is still entered in this race.

Trust you have been burning the midnight oil ?Looks tough as ever, way too many entries to plough through, just been going through some stats last couple days, and a few that Mac sent me to look at.

Can you access other site? Does the messaging work on here?

    Catch up soon.

    Morning Flyers,

Yup, it certainly is a “Clash of the Titans” for me, and the thought of the pair of them, along with Seeyouatmidnight, running in the same race at Aintree, it starting to get me excited. I do tend to agree though, still not convinced they’ll both run, but no other entries now, and I thought he would have split them. No foregone conclusion though, with the likes of Federici, Hurricane Darwin, and old Bless The Wings in there.

Yeah, burning the midnight oil, and digging plenty out, but as previously mentioned, not diving in nearly as much this year. Not quite “feeling” it yet, and after the last two seasons, very aware that I must be due a proper reverse. All about balance. Want a few winners, but important to actually enjoy it as well, and I’ll make sure there are a few races where I don’t have a financial interest.

Going to Preview night in Hamilton this week, and hopefully an enjoyable, if not informative evening.

I’ve tried to do my p/l three times on the other sites, but it just won’t let me, then I managed to post on another thread tonight. It is just too much hard work.

Messaging works ok, I’ll send you a test PM

Good to hear you are studying hard.

Look forward to that message, theres a few that are giving me the look, will pass them by you, that thing about geese being swans,if you think they might be better suited to blackpool pleasure beach,I will not think badly about you,not too long anyway.

Always better to have another view. You know my view on the ground, hopefully we get a Claisse free festival for the first time in ages. With that in mind,I do wonder if there is a correlation between the over-watering and the success of the Irish horses, does their stamina kick in more, as they encounter deeper ground throughout their winter?

If we do get softer conditions, its an angle I will be monitoring,we have had plenty of heavy here recently,so that may sway it a little.

Not had a bet yet,way too many variables this far out.Theres another angle that I will pass by you on messaging, your the man with the memory, probably another white coat theory,we will see :mail:

    Evening

The good……As day 1 rolled on last year, things were looking bleak as the national hunt chase came round.Tiger Roll and Kerrow were main plays, with a few pool bets adding some of the outsiders.

AS Tiger jumped the second last it was clear he looked to be holding the JP thing that ran on into second.Only to see Edwulf break down after the last, which looked terrible, and like most people watching, heartbreaking end to a wonderful race.Stunned for a fair while, sat there with the sound off, thinking of those awful green screens that I have seen at the track before.

As the last race approached, back to the computer to watch on live video, fearing the worst. No luck in the last, time to call it a day, checked my betfair account, something not right.Having briefly checked it after Tiger race, forgot about the tote bets, they take ages to settle when its busy.

Stuck tiger with missed approach 50/1 second in the exacta, not once but twice, both for 20p.
Paid £1,731 to a nuggett,of which I had 40p worth,a very strange feeling at the time, hard to explain.

Watching him rock up and win the last day,one of the best things I’m ever likely to see, never thought he would leave the track alive that day at cheltenham.

So,whatever happens next Friday,he will be carrying a little support from Moi,I know you have him at retirement odds, what a story that would be……..he would bring the house down.

Busy few days coming up,that message did not come,no matter, stick a few thoughts up on here nearer day 1 if ok?

That bugger Master Of Irony out weekend, the scanners have nailed him,and he did travel to Ireland a few weeks back, surely it can,t be a duck egg,can It ??????

Brilliant Flyers, and that must have been some feeling. Nothing like it, had it a few times myself.

Yeah, all over “The Wulf”, or “Ed”. Those are the two very imaginative nicknames I’ve come up with for him lol. Incredible the lack of attention he’s got since Leapordstown. I haven’t laid a bean on him………….yet, and he will be a very big win if he comes in. I’m torn between him and Bachasson, as the one I’d love to see win, but there a few more in that “book” that I wouldn’t complain about either. Just incredible that he came back. I didn’t even notice the seizure during the race, I was too busy doing cartwheels as Tiger went clear, but I’ve said it before, getting close to Tiger Roll that day is rock solid form, and he has to be a player Friday week.

He’s a very interesting horse that Master of Irony, and couldn’t put you off him. Not a big betting race for me The Imperial Cup, but if I don’t side with the fav, I might just sit it out. I’ll cheer him on for you.

Don’t know what’s happening with the messages, sent three out the last couple of days, and got replies to the three of them, I’ll have another go, but goes without saying, just bang your thoughts up on here too, always good to get visitors lol

With “day of race” bets starting to sneak in, this is, surely, last Ante-Post update for me.

Very very happy with my reduced stakes this season (bar Gold Cup), and it has made a huge difference, as has restricting myself on the handicaps, that NRNB has been a godsend. No real disappointments on the Ante-Post front this year, with the exception of Sutton Place & Fagan in The 4 Miler. Thankfully, with it being one of my main races, I can easily consume that. I could go Green on Gold Cup just now, but should one of the bigger ones win, I would be a “tad upset”, so I’ll use just that book to lay off my stake money for Tuesday and Wednesday, as I did with Carlingford Lough two years ago, just makes sense.

Best of luck for the festival chum, Will have a massive grin on my face for you in Charli Parcs does the business tomorrow! Certainly a good bet at those prices! I wanted him for the County but will be more than happy if he carries your money to victory.

If you don’t get a winner from those picks this week I’ll shed many a tear for you :D
