Moe,stop flapping about Steve Caution,he’ll be back.I remember when Steve joined the forum and he got frustrated that nobody was responding to him,he threatened to leave then.We told him then to carry on contributing and that his style would be suited to this place, time showed he was an excellent contributor, sadly Steve comes across as a bit of a drama Queen and I recall him throwing his toys out the pram on a previous occassion and leaving so maybe this is just a repeat of that performance.I’d say its 1/5 he posts again but 200/1 he puts up just one Derby horse next year.
June 9, 2015 at 20:56 #1100805Just watch if Dandy runs Barnet Fair in Scotland at the weekend Bob,he was imo the unluckiest horse in the Dash, well backed too,he’s 12/1 for the Sprint Cup at Musselbrough.
June 10, 2015 at 16:36 #1101347Gord i like BARNET FAIR this week as well think he win if he runs been well backed so looks like he will run.Any thoughts on race bob
And what you guys think of sprint handicap at York on saturday. SCLAZO 4/1 will win smart horse he is like him a lot
June 11, 2015 at 18:35 #1102341Gord, Darren…….totally agree, and I’ll be backing Barnet Fair for sure on Saturday (missed the price), especially after he was so unlucky at Epsom, I should have had the 2, 3, 4, 5
I didn’t bet him at Epsom, he only made The Trifecta, but I did have a good go with Boom The Groom, and I’ll have a few quid of my winnings on him again at 9’s. They’ll probably be my my 2, but I do like the look of Online Alexander, and See The Sun as well.Darren, I think you’re right about Scalzo, but I might take a wee chance on Squats at 25’s should he go.
Good luck guys.
June 22, 2015 at 22:30 #1111652+ £1,200…insurance company have paid for my dogs operation. Can’t believe it! On top of having one of the best weeks ever at Middleham; what an amazing place!
June 23, 2015 at 10:27 #1112851Bob was gutted over HUNTSMANS CLOSE went to fridge for irn bru come back horse bolted and a NR so sad
Any thoughts on Northumberland plate. I like GABRIALS STAR and GABRRIALS KING i do
June 23, 2015 at 16:33 #1112910Was gutted as well Darren, thought he was a good thing. The only good thing is I didn’t lose on him Ante-Post. I’d bet Interception as well (along with Intransigent), and was good to get the winner. I was a wee bit disappointed though, I was at work, and if I knew Huntsmans had been withdrawn, then I’d have split the money on him on those 2, so Interception should have been an even bigger winner.
I’ve looked at The Plate a few times Darren. Of the “Gabrials”, I really like your fancy, Gabrial Star, but I can’t be the only one who’s judgement is getting clouded by all those with a similar name……….I’m getting all confused
Of the rest, there’s a few I like, but I’m going to hold off and see what the ground is like, and who makes the gig, don’t have a strong enough fancy to have a go Ante-Post. Seamour, Blue Turf, and Clever Cookie are appealing the most, but definitely a “day of the race” job for me.June 24, 2015 at 12:42 #1114068Joe Fanning has got a very good strike rate at the moment when riding 2 year olds; I guess they’d be the Mark Johnson ones?? May get my Coral betting account activated now I’ve got loadsamoney to throw around!
July 2, 2015 at 17:29 #1120907bob any thoughts on stewards cup and bunbury cup as well
HUNTSMANS CLOSE 14/1
SPECULATIVE BID 12/1My bets so far
July 4, 2015 at 00:13 #1121602Hey Darren, very sorry for the late reply.
I’m all over the place with The Bunbury Cup, and struggling to nail just 1 or 2 down. Chill The Kite ran well last time, 12’s seems ok, and I think Accession is always underrated, and itching to take the 40’s…….but there’s a whole host of them I’m wanting to bet as well.
It won’t surprise you to see me siding with Huntsmans Close for The Stewards Cup, and even though I’m trying to refrain from Ante-Post bets this summer, that 14’s is really tempting. I also like Gran Canaria Queen @ 25’s, and again, Accession @ 33’s.
2 cracking races Darren, and hopefully one of us can dig out the winner. Best of Luck.
July 15, 2015 at 17:47 #1136925Hi bob you ok any thoughts on summer plate and hurdle at market rasen in hurdle i like Skelton horse HURRICANE HOLLOW.No bet yet in chase
July 15, 2015 at 23:10 #1137174You’re psychic Darren, you always know the races I’m looking at haha…….and we’re on the same track with some of our fancies for The Open too. I’ve went with George Coetzee again at 400’s, he was good to me last year and I made a right few quid on him laying off on the Friday. I’ve also went for Dubuisson @ 75’s, and Joost Luiten @ 140’s. Very pleased to see you like those 2 as well, as you know a helluva lot more about Golf than I do. Been keeping an eye on Dubuisson for a while now, and went for Luiten for the same reasons as yourself.
No bets yet for me either at Market Rasen, but I’ll definitely have a go on the day. In The Hurdle, I’m torn between Court Minstrel, & Surf and Turf…………but might have more trouble picking one at the moment for the chase, though very tempted with an each way go on Brave Spartacus @ 20’s.
Best of luck, and I hope your Open bets get off to a good start.

HURRICANE HOLLOWMy bets in big races at market rasen they are bob any early thoughts on galway plate
July 19, 2015 at 11:26 #1139085Hi Darren,
been checking for the last few days, trying to see the entries for The Plate, have you seen them anywhere?
Got a few in mind, in fact too many at the moment, not surprisingly a few Giggs and JP runners in there. I’d love to see them try Vroum Vroum Mag in a race like this, but I’d be surprised if they sent her there.
I’ll stick up my early fancies one the list is out.
PS think I’ll give the Golf bets a miss for a while
July 19, 2015 at 11:39 #1139096We were back at Middleham last week and must have been the only people in the pub not to have backed the Micky Hammond 22/1 winner that night. I did meet my [almost] Cesarewitch winner Waterclock [he was standing next to the grave of Pretender at Jedd O’Keefes] but kept well away as he’s a bit grumpy!
July 20, 2015 at 10:20 #1139621Hope you had a good time away Moe, though you must have been gutted about that 22-1 shot, that’s a sore one for you…………..though I hope meeting Waterclock softened the blow a bit.
