In 200 I like Dance The Star @ 20-1 (Lads) and Resplendant Light @ 18-1 (Hills).

I think Heaven Sent will win the 235 but shes too short and I dont like anything else in the race so will just watch it.

In the 350 I like Wise Melody @ 16-1 and Mac Gille Eoin @ 33-1 but would hope better prices are avilable in the morning on the pair.

In the 435 I like both Radiohead @ 5-1 and Hoh Spice @ 8-1 but will probably side with the latter at the prices. This is usually a decent race and very competetive.

Will keep an eye out to see if Natural Flair drifts enough to become a bet in the pretty polly, not a great looking renewal IMO, and stoutes golden stream is the most likely winner IMO.

GuestOfTheNation@ 10-1 looks a reasonable e/w in the closer but Stoute will probably have his tuned to the max in that race.

Countrywide City in the 215 at Salisbury (on Ch4) is my favorite bet of the day e/w with Paddy Power @ 40-1.

Some decent races here and was surprised not a thread for 2,000 guineas day, there must be some opinions for tomorrow.

Hatton Flight & Distinctive Image in the 200 for me.

Really like Golden Stream in the 500.

Cant see past Rainbow View for the Guineas and I hope she wins and goes on to be a superstar.

Bulwark, intrigued by your thoughts on Countrywide City in the 215 @ Salisbury?! May I ask what gives you the optimism? (I live in Salisbury and find it hard to find winners there!)

Salisbury gd-fm is like concrete (used to live at lyneham, and it was like that almsot all year round) so you want one that goes well on the a faster surface.

Elusive City has been doing well so far, and is good with his fillies, Nashmiah and Elusive Wave being probably the best known, they generally love gd-fm ground, and Elusive City had City Dancer finish 3rd in a decent sprint race at musselburgh on friday. On pedigree she would look like the perfect sort for the race.

Then looking at her form, when the ground was quicker last season she was at her best but hasnt appeared to have really improved much since then, where really she probably has but just hasnt been on a suitable surface.

Tomorrow she turns up running off bottom weight on a surface she should love (and should improve on), so she looks well in at the weights.

Probert isnt a bad little jockey, and if she is fully fit and ridden patiently she should prove 40-1 to be a shade ridiculous IMO.

Of course, none of this is exact science but its the sort of bet I get excited about in my own little way…

I’m quite keen on

Storyland

(2.00) following her progression toward the end of last season, especially with conditions likely to suit, and

Wise Melody

(3.50) also makes some appeal.

In the 1000 Guineas I have

Serious Attitude

at every price from 33/1 to 10/1 (should she hack up, my claims will be substantiated by posts made after her victory at Salisbury and should she fail miserably, I’m lying) and have also backed

Shimah

at around 16/1.

Thanks Bulwark, not an exact science but good logic I’d say. It has a good pull in the weights with Global City and I can see that at least a place is a distinct possibility.

Glad you highlighted that one. Thanks. Lets hope for a big run!

Im glad Shimah 20/1 takes her chance in the 1000G. I’m banking on her having improved and her not enjoying the groundwhen beaten by again. Amazing the difference a length or 2 can make. Had she beaten Again she would most likley be disputing 2nd fav position with Serious Attitude.

I had a look at Serious Attitude and must admit she really takes the eye as a potentially high class filly. I can’t fault her at all she’s a lovely mover but I’m stuck with Shimah and with Rainbow View in the race I’m not for risking another coin in this.

I see Shifting Star runs today and although I like this horse I wouldln’t bet on Wally having her fit.

I don’t often back horses that have never ran before but I am assured Footstepsofspring is one of Hannon’s better 2 yo’s and will win.
Piggy bank bet for me

Hello,

If Bailey didn’t train ASPEN DARLIN, but say Chapple-Hyam, Cecil or Bolger, would it be an outsider??

regards,

300ish on betfair THD, I think it’s fair to say proceed with caution, would look extremely unfancied going by that.

Rainbow View should be good enough in the Guinnea’s, but it has been seen before that hot favourites had sweated up at the post and been beaten, i do like the looks of Aspen Darlin[/color:1a16zq2p] and Lahaleeb[/color:1a16zq2p] especially and are good value horse’s against the favourite.

Exclamation

is interesting also, dropping back from Listed Company to Hcp and had some of these beaten lto.

Good Luck today

Radiohead in the 16:25 for me. Got an impressive pedigree with Johannesburg an unbeaten 2yo
Like Ejaab though, again sire very impressive on the good to firm ground and the master Richard Hills in the saddle.
But Radiohead from Ejaab I think

Reckon High Spice (spelt name wrong) will be a good one to take to ascot, that race usually works out very well, and with a nicely bred filly winning it, she should be on the way to better things, with similar ground conditions likely at ascot.

Wish I had known that earlier that one of Hannon’s was huge but ran like a midget against giants  That hurt!

The Miniver Rose to bail me out?
