April 23, 2010 at 18:19 #292010Hi Darren. I put a fun £4 place bet on No Hubris to get placed in the 2000 Guineas @ 65 a few weeks ago, after reading a few bolshie comments on Paul Cole’s website. Looked at the market this afternoon after I found out he had won, and he’s still bleeding 65 in the place market.

Darren, I would think there would be more interest in this thread if you gave reasons etc. for your selections (well done btw). From a personal point of view anyway, I would prefer reading your views and reasons for selections than just a list of horses.
April 24, 2010 at 09:16 #292138Does the Lucozade come with a slug of rum?!

Lucozade+Rum=best hangover cure!
(maybe a diff thread that…)Some quick thoughts on the Sandown Mile:
Didn’t Paco carry more weight last year – and weren’t there the same concerns about the going?
Is this race as the ‘Bismark’ said a tougher one than last years?!
A couple with bits of form –
Beacon Lodge (twice behind Paco) – but his beating of ‘Sahpresa’ isn’t looking so bad now…
The Cheka – His form behind ‘Sri Putra’ is also looking better…
Both could probably do with a bit of juice though…
I suppose the stiff finish should suit ‘Confront’ who maybe wanting further now?
Thought that ‘Boarder Patrol’ wanted it softer – but see he has CD with Gd – (two wins on Gd)!
As that commentator says out East – "Good luck if you’re having a bet"…
