Mullins’s training fees must be OK now:

September 12, 2022 at 17:58 #1614545I know it’s been said before, but worst significant owner in the history of Jumps racing.
Only Daniel Wildenstein on the Flat comes remotely close for the both codes title.
Who refuses to take their dual Grand National winner back to Aintree because it’s up the weights and then deprives him of a career-ending win by running another horse against him?
Not one ounce of romantic love of the game in that bloke’s body.
If he’d owned Red Rum he wouldn’t have tried to give a pound to L’Escargot, never mind 11lb the next year and have two more cracks at the race after that.
And he’d have ended his career at Bangor-On-Dee, beaten in a photo finish by another one of Ginger McCain’s he owned.

September 13, 2022 at 18:56 #1614645Seems odd considering the big thing they made in 2019 about no longer buying new horses with a view to winding down the whole operation when this statement was given:
“I hope that by running down our string over an extended four- or five-year period it will give our trainers ample time to replace our horses without disruption.”
