I noticed today that there were a record 188 users on the forum on sept 17 2007. Did this owe to something special going on that day? Just wondered
November 11, 2007 at 00:27 #124118I think that must have been the day that Jim ‘flashed the ash’. Of course that figure of 188 was a regular thing on here in the glory days of 04/05. The forum seems to still be fairly busy, and i wish it well, but it seems to have lost its ‘edge’imo.
Anyway, I’m not sure that the on-line thing is working properly since the update.
November 11, 2007 at 03:48 #124133Your comment about the forum losing its edge is interesting to me.
Im only new here as you can tell from my post count but i would be interested to know why you say this.
To be honest i am a little disheartened in general with horse racing chat on the internet, it seems either its just repetitive slagging matches in places like the betfair forum or over-moderation in most others (caused apparently by endless spammers) meaning many issues cant be discussed.
Anyway just thought id say!
my first ever smileyNovember 11, 2007 at 09:49 #124145Jilly – I also am not sure about the online thing working properly. However, the stats from our server show that traffic on the forum is increasing of late and is now at it’s highest since I took over Admin duties in Aug 06. Hopefully we can keep it heading in that direction.
