Congratulations to top South African trainer – currently over here supervising a small part of his string.
He played with Rory McIlroy in the Dunhill Links Championship where he had to play Carnoustie, St Andrews, King’s Barns and back at St Andrews again today. It was his first attempt at these courses and they went out with Lee Westwood (who Mike trains for) and Chubby Chandler on the first 3 days.
Mike finished on – 36 which made him the second amateur (only 2 strokes behind A Coe) from a huge starting line up including lots of celebrities and rich business men. In partnership with Rory, who finished 3rd in the professional tournament, they ended up winning the team competition on an aggregate of – 51 !!
