Commentator – "The stable are going really, really well"

Errr say what? Is that the yard with over thirty consecutive non winners before this meeting?

SDM got all the breaks for a very nice win there. Doesn’t look to be carrying that much condition though. Not sure how much horse will be left come World Cup night. Azmeel way too keen under the hold up tactics even with a decent speed in front of him. He’s on the Poison Ivy list for now. :P

He ran to his "official" mark Mr W,perhaps you need to drop him a couple of Stone in your ratings! 128 was it?

I think SDM is a top quality horse and will win if o.k after a layoff.

Was happy enough, but as I said last season "I’d like to see him over 1m4f". He was going to be an each-way in the Arc for me and I was disappointed he didn’t go.

I don’t think he’ll beat the top horses over 1m2f, but it’s encouraging he acted on the surface and was able to win after a layoff, so who knows.

James Willo has just said on RUK ‘Riggings’ in the first and ‘Start Right’ in the Last.
don’t shoot me I’m only passing the info on, IMO J.W. is not the oracle.
    Good Luck.

Cant resist the 8/1 for Sea Lord in the Group 2. Granted I know nothing about the De Kock favourite. But on his Irish Champion run he has the beating of the rest of these if he can bounce back tonight. City Style winning after an indifferent run last week gives extra hope.

Agreed. His beating of Poets Voice who went on to beat RVW on the same ground was impressive (even though it was Poets Voice first run back). I’d prefer it to be over a mile but still, it’s where my moneys’s going today, each-way of course.

Can’t have Sea Lord, as it took all of Fallon’s artistry to get him home at Salisbury, and today’s jockey is hardly in the same league.
Presvis would be interesting, but usually needs a run, and Irish Flame’s a poor price considering the drop back in trip, so I’ll row in with Frankie and Caymans.
High class in Australia, Godolphin can’t have been to keen on him last year, as he only made it to the track once, for a 9K conditions race. That he goes straight into a gp2 here suggests his stable are much happier with him now, and 6/1 looks generous.

From Mike de kock site "we want to get him going, he will run well but we’re not expecting him to win".
He did not run well, so should win a big one later in the Carnival. 8)
