Glad you put Thecoffeepoddotco on your tracker Graham and hope she turns in a few more good races. I’m sure she will. :good:

Sorry your horse lost out to My Immortal on Sunday and you’re so right about his form.. 4 years since his last win and only 3 wins before that in 2020/2021 and 2022

Having said that if I had been there with my Louise we might well have had a sneaky fiver EW on him as we are great Amy Lee fans, fabulous voice, lead singer (Evernescence). :rose: and My Immortal is one of Louise’s favourite songs 🎵

Nick..I hope you get rid of that annoying cough soon. I’m usually down with something like that around this time of year and last time it lasted 3 months ..just keep takng paracetomol and hot lemon drinks. :rose: Hope you manage to get those socks in in time for Meydan on Friday because I’m certainly going to have to pull mine up to find a few winners and need you and Graham there to help… :good:

See you when the decs are out :bye: Jac x

Nick..I can’t get the runners up for Meydan on Friday either, the link seems to be down. We’ll just have to wait for the Racing Post to put them up in a few days. :mail:

Hope the cough is feeling a bit easier tonight a couple of paracetomol with hot lemon and honey usually sees mine off eventually. Take care and see you Friday..socks pulled up and ready to go.🤣 Jac x

Good Morning I hope that you are all well and safe.

Good News again from the Godolphin Web site Race No 6
the Balanchine (Group 2) Turf Race is this weeks BONUS RACE. :yahoo:

I have been close a number of times with my predictions for the Bonus Race
but could really do with scoring some points this week.
My score is 1620 points and a rank 797. I still have 4 swaps let and am tempted
to use another one this week.

    Many Thanks :good: :bye:

Nick, I had a cough that literally lasted for years, probably caused other
problems I have in my throat, but more than a year back I saw my beloved
Mr Guhan. He asked how long I’d had the cough, ages I said, does your nose
run or do you have to blow it a lot, I do. He said he thought it was likely
to be Post Nasal Drip. He prescribed me a spray that I still use once at night
and once in the morning, Monetasone Furoate 50 micrograms/dose and a tablet I
take one at night, Montelukast 10mg fil-coated tablets. I’ve never had the cough
come back and I had it for years. Worth bringing it up with your GP, it wouldn’t
do any harm to try it. My cough disappeared within a week and has never come back. :good:

We all need a doctor like Mr.Guhan Graham, he sounds just what I remember Doctors used to be like.

When I was 5 years old I contacted Pneumonia through going out on a foggy damp night in East London with my mum to visit a relative. I got a fever and went into a coma in the middle of the night it was touch and go. We had a Doctor who had a practice in his private house opposite our house and my mum rushed there in the middle of the night and banged on his door, he came straightaway to my bedside and administered penicillin that he had in his practice pharmacy and sat with me until the fever broke,
What Doctor would do that today? He sent me to St.Mary Abbots hospital in London for recovery and later to have my tonsils out there. The pneumonia left me with a blur on the lung until I was about 12 years old and a susceptibility to coughs snd colds but I have no doubt he did save my life. He was my guardian angel 💫like your Mr.Guhan Graham. Jac

Great news about the Bonus race John..Best of luck. :yahoo:
Meydan Decs now out on racing Post website. :good:

The Appleby horse, By The Book, is hard to access isn’t she Nick having won only her Maiden at Great Yarmouth at Class 5 Level.
She did win by 5 lengths so would presume she has trained on since then.
Only negative is draw 7 but in a small race Buick should be able to get her in a good position. I do quite fancy her chances it could be a close run race. :good: Jac x

Cheers for the help Graham I was in again yesterday for bloods testing again for my dementia needs, asked about the cough and was told they can only discuss one issue per appointment, eased a bit this morning and don’t feel like keeping over every time I have a fit if coughs
Jac four winners out of that race (I know it was late in year) but all the wins were on the all weather, I think we could be guided by the market how good she is but it’s a massive jump up
Put my other thoughts up later and look forward to your and Graham’s thoughts
I see Bedouin Prince is running in Bahrain today Jac(thoughts?)

    Bedouin Prince ..
Love his breeding – Ghaiyyath can do no wrong in my eyes but distance and up to Listed level tonight a slight concern.
4/5f doesn’t represent much value either.

    Would prefer to play
7.45 – Cracks King (Frankel) 6/1 EW in that one possibly linked with an EW double..
    6.45 – Commanche Falls

Best of luck Nick & Graham. :good:
    Look forward to tomorrows picks
    Jac :rose:

Backed Green Triangle last night PP 9/2 ew 4 places 4/1 this morning so will call it 4s for this thread

Blue Nazare is a head scratched for me, wins an egg spoon race at Yarmouth on only start albeit half the track on the bridle is now a short one in a Group 2. She could be a superstar in the making but if I can lay her at evens or lower I have to take her on

In the last still pondering whether Sunway has now changed his ways after come back win will come back to this race later look forward to your thoughts and good luck today :good:

Re Blue Nazare Nick I was thinking along the same lines..however she won her Maiden in terrific style and for Appleby to have this much confidence in her she must be showing them something special at home and on the gallops.
With Dubai Treasure not looking like she will relish the extra furlong and Dubai Beach looking to be the one to beat I have taken 6/5 for Blue Nazare to win this headscratcher of a race and placed her in a speculative treble. Surely to have this much confidence to elevate her from Class 5 to Group 2 she must be something special, as you say a possible suoerstar.💫

Have done a treble with my £10 freebet..

    1.30 – Key Of Magic – 7/4
    4.45 – Blue Nazare – 6/5
    5.35 – By The Book – 7/4

That would return £156 plus a few pennies. :good:

Good luck Nick and all having a play at Meydan today. :rose: Jac

Beautiful story about your Gp back in the day Jac, and no, you wouldn’t get
that today. It pretty much looks like he genuinely did save your life and
to stay with you until the fever broke is dedication which seems to be missing
with many in the NHS today. We are all grateful that he saw you through it :rose:

I noticed in the 1st race today that Bhupat Seemar has 3 running. Tadhg O’Shea is
his main rider and he he is riding the outsider of the 3, Magic Art. He is being
bet down by most, 17/2, 15/2 and 8s, but Paddy Power are still standing him at 10/1.
He’s from Russia so he might try and invade the stalls and keep the others out. Anyway,
    I reckon he’s worth a punt or an e/w wouldn’t go amiss.

1.30 Magic Art 10/1 Paddy Power

    more to follow :good:

In the 2.05 The Man has the form and the draw to play a big part,
but I’m inclined to take a chance with Subito who comes into the
“could be anything” area. One good race in the US, just run out of
it, and one where he didn’t show up at all. It’s his 1st handicap
race and the handicapper has rated him 92, but there’s a lot of
guess work gone into that. He could be well in (or he may be out
with the washing) but I’ll take a chance on him.

    2.05 Subito 13/2 William Hill

I’ll have 1 more stab. I think Paddy Power are taking a huge risk
by offering Laneqasg at 20/1. In his last 3 he ran 2 good 2nds,
beaten a nk and 1/2 L before down the field 6th of 15 but he was
drawn wide and had to travel 5 wide for a good deal of the race.
His 2nd to English Oak was franked when that one won next time out.
    20/1 is an e/w steal

    3.25 Laneqasg 20/1 Paddy Power

:yahoo: Brilliant spot in the first Graham..what a beautiful horse Magic Art is and that weight for age allowance…spot on well done :yahoo:

My Treble blew out quickly  but only a Paddy’s freebet lost so more to come later and have to agree with you regarding Laneqash at 20’s I’ll be with you on him and best of luck. :good: Jac
