Charles Darwin to conquer the World
July 5, 2025 at 23:15 #1735602Have a great time in Wales Jac. It looks like Sunday might be a day
for you putting your feet up in the pub, or wherever. After that it
looks like you might have struck it lucky. Have a great time anyway
July 6, 2025 at 00:03 #1735604Thanks Graham..I’ll have trouble sleeping tonight. It looks like we’re going a week too early but there are one or two reasonable days forecast.
I think I might need my big coat and a flask of coffee for the railway journey up Mount Snowdon though..Looking forward to a warmer Portmerion on Wednesday.
Keep putting in those great golfing bets and a few decent winners before I get back.

Nathan tells me there are still two weeks to go before you can get knocked out of the Daylight Comp so I’m hoping for a good July Cup day at Newmarket next Saturday .. I hope Ryan rides Believing as well as he rode Delacroix today.
Jac

🐎 🏆Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 6, 2025 at 01:44 #1735608No winners but enjoy the day out
Solario stakes most likely my next visit to
SandownAnd September stakes at Kempton I be going to
July 6, 2025 at 01:57 #1735609I’m certainly trying with the golfers. I’ve gotDavis Thompson in the John Deere
Classic, I took him at 33/1 and after 3 rounds he’s leader on his own at 15 under,
1 shot clear of the field. I hope he keeps his bottle on the final day tomorrow.I at least got one in my pick 3 and Daylight Cup, I had Polestar who won by the hair
on his chinny chin chin. I napped him and had a good return not to mention it gets
me 44 points on my Daylight cup. I hope I’m safe, but you never know in this game
Nice pics Darren, hope you had a cracking day mate

July 10, 2025 at 10:24 #1735825Just on our way home from Caernarfon (12 hour round trip) John and saw your message about the Bonus Race…thank you..

We have had the most amazing trip to North Wales and we’re lucky enough to bump into Hairy Biker,Si King, who was visiting Snowdonia mountain railway making a documentary, about his late partner, the same time as we were there. He turned and gave me a lovely wave….

Hairy Biker Si King filming on the Snowdonia Railway last Monday
Portmerion village was so pretty we felt like we were on tbe Italian Coast yesterday with the glorious weather and our trip round Puffin Island from Beaumaris, Anglesey was incredible and thankfully not too choppy.
Will need another holiday after this…
Looking forward to Newmarket on Saturday and the July Meeting starting today… hope you are all keeping well and the Golf is being good to you Graham.. Jac

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 11, 2025 at 14:04 #1735886So glad you had such a lovely holiday Jac.
Portmeirion looks very picturesque.
I missed the bonus race (of course) in the Godolphin comp. I’m still not getting notifications from them, even though I have double/triple checked my settings. So annoying. Oh well……
I’m currently on 6,380pts with four swaps remaining.A nice start to your day Jac – with the forecast as well! Well Done
Have a lovely day at Newmarket tomorrow – hopefully with a few winners too!!Take Care All
July 11, 2025 at 14:06 #1735887Thanks Nick..
Sorry I didn’t see your question about Notable Speech we were away in Snowdonia on a 4 day coach trip around the area and didn’t get much time on line. We had a great time
To be honest I’m not too sure about the drop back for Notable Speech but happy to trust Charlie Appleby’s judgement that he will handle it ok.
It’s a tough race, can’t wait to be there.
