I have to log back into the forum on a regular basis even though I tick the keep me logged in box. And then have to rummage around looking for my password. And if I’m away from home and have forgotten my little book of passwords I’d be logged out for ages. With it being Easter I’m hoping that that is what’s happened to Graham.

I would love to think so Moe but the fact that Nathan emailed him with no response and John Gooch amongst others have been putting out feelers raises a bit of a concern.
I’d like nothing more than for our Graham to come back here with a cheeky comment bemoaning his hard luck getting locked out of the Forum. I hope he comes back soon or we hear some news. Jac

Just putting out a few feelers about the upcoming Godolphin Fantasy League competition.

As you are probably aware anyone who wants to take part now has to verify their phone number, something which I am none to keen to do as I didn’t want to be inundated with marketing and spam calls.

However, on reflection, I think I am going to give it a go..main reason is our Meydan Thursday Thread which was initially started to follow all things Godolphin during the cold winter months months at Meydan’ Dubai..it went on to become so much more than that during Covid and friendships built on this Thread have been amazing. :rose:

There is of course one person who I know we are all thinking of at the moment..Graham (BigG)., and if you are somehow able to read this Graham please be assured that we are all wishing you and Marjorie well and hope that you will be back with us soon, you are the backbone of this Thread and we send out positive thoughts to you both. :rose:

Lastly if anyone is interested in joining the mini TRF League for the Godolphin Comp please register your interest here. Completely understand if you don’t in the circumstances but I have heard from our John who has actually verified his number and will possibly be a player.

John please feel free to post up all the Bonus Races here and look forward to taking you on in the Comp if you play. I will report back on marketing and spam calls 📞 hopefully it won’t be too bad and it all kicks off at Newmarket this week.

    Catherine..
How are you and your puppy getting on after that awful rogue dog attack?

Andre..Hope all is well across the pond, haven’t heard from you in a while but have seen you posting successfully in the comps.

Hope things will get started on the flat now the Guineas Festival is near.
The 2000 is a real puzzler (Godolphin x2, Gosden & O’Brien) and Godolphin have the odds on Favourite for 1000 Guineas day, Desert Flower looks a real pocket rocket.🐎🚀

    Hello Everyone
I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. Life got busy here, with new carpet planning and candle making. No excuse I know.

I hope everyone is doing okay. :rose:

I’m really worried about our good friend Graham. Hope you & Marjorie are doing okay my friend.

I am not in favor of validating phone numbers to enter the Godolphin comp at all, but I will do so just to stay in touch with the group and our extended family here. I see the comp starts on Thursday.

I’ll have to find my flat racing “lucky pin” to make some selections!

    Take Care Everyone!!

Great to hear from you Andre and quite understand how busy life gets, I’m exactly the same with the Grandkids and now studying up for the flat season.
Many thanks for your PM and I’ll get back to you very soon. :good:

I used to get a lovely book every year written by Steve Taplin all about the new 2yo’s coming out for the new season and the trainers would give lots of useful inside info and star ratings. It was absolutely invaluable but took an awful lot of hard work to produce.
Sadly Steve passed away quite a few years ago now and although some have tried there is no new season 2yo information out there that will help you find a winner when you are faced with a field full of maidens. Wonder if anyone here has a ‘go to’ 2yo book that would help navigate a path through this hard to solve puzzle.
That’s why Paddock inspections st Newmarket for me and any racecourse are so important and hopefully I might be able to find one or two worth following this season. :good:

Glad that you have decided to play the Godolphin Compy Andre and I expect John may also roll the dice one more time and join us. Just post your results here as usually and I’ll put up a Leaderboard and good luck. :good:

Once again all thoughts and good wishes are with Graham and Marjorie. x Jac

“Hi all. I’ve been out of the loop as we (puppy and I) were attacked by an out of control staffie. It appeared from nowhere. No owner. It knocked me to the ground and attacked the pup. I was bitten on my hand and face trying to stop it. Emergency vets (£1700) but luckily (and astonishingly) no serious internal injuries. Tried to get a doctor’s appointment myself but that’s impossible nowadays so just have to hope for the best. Reported to the police but they won’t do anything”

This happened to Mike and Winnie a couple of years ago. Staffie ran out of a garden and tried to kill Winnie. Mike kicked it away and the owner arrived and grabbed his dog. Turns out it had done the same to another dog the previous week and the vet said it was lucky to be alive. When its owner heard what had happened to Winnie she, too asked for a police crime number and regretted not reporting it. The police did visit the Staffies owner after having two complaints. The police should give you a crime number. It never escaped from the garden again but he still walked it round the village without a muzzle. We were also helped by the safe neighbourhood officer from the local council who said everyone should feel safe in their neighbourhood. I think he was an ex policeman who knew a lot about dog attacks. He said there doesn’t necessarily need to be an injury for it to be an offence. He also visited the Staffies owner. Thankfully the family have now moved away from the village. Winnie wasn’t hurt and it hasn’t made her reactive but Mike is terrified whenever he sees a Staffie. We now carry a slip lead with us on walks as it’s the only way to get an attacking dog off your dog. There are also sprays that you can buy off the internet. I’m sick of out of control dogs; it’s endemic. Also dog walkers with more dogs than they can control.

Going on Sunday for the 1000 Guineas Andre.. Always a little bit quieter as you don’t get ‘The Jolly Boys Outing’ arriving in force. 🤪

John..My Stable is ready now and you can change it without losing a swap up to 40 minutes before the first race tomorrow.
Andre is also in with us. :yahoo:
Keep looking out for those Bonus races :good:

Nick…Sadly no news on Graham, definitely worried now but we just have to wait and hope he can get in touch. :rose:

Victory Queen now out to 9/4
I have gone in again as I think she is a bit special.
Godolphin won the first with Wild Applause, sadly missed that one but have done
    Hallasan 7/1 EW
and in a double with Victory Queen.
Some nice upcoming fillies in her race but I just have to take a chance and go with what I saw.
    Good luck 🐎🌈

Nice. That would be my choice too. No need to be a around the inebriated “jolly boys”. Have a wonderful time and find a few winners too!

I’ll keep an eye on Victory Queen – hope she wins for you. From what I can see, there’s been a lot of money for Gulya.

Hopefully we hear something from Graham soon. It’s very worrying indeed.

    Take Care
