Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 21, 2025 at 16:50 #1727876Hello everyone. Jac I hope you’ve had a good time of Newmarket I haven’t seen a race abd have absolutely no idea what happened!
I’ve seen your f/c though!! Well done. I’ve not heard from Big G so he’s dealing with health I guess. Very best wishes Graham we sure do love you old boy ♥️. Hopefully I’m now in a position to begin posting regularly again on the forum. I’ve missed it loads but been busy doing my thing like you do. I’m going to start with the lucky last tonight wherever it may be then hopefully do some spring pruning in the Tree thread. It would be great to be back again…..April 22, 2025 at 13:20 #1727969Great to have you back Sam and hope all is well with you.

As you know, they changed the Craven Stakes at Newmarket from Thursday to Wednesday a day I was unable to make so we went on the Tuesday for the Nell Gwyn which turned out to be a complete washout weatherwise it never stopped raining until the last race and the ground changed from good to good to soft which meant we had a few unexpected results and we got soaked through.
Luckily I managed to do the last two winners which both happened to be Godolphin horses and didn’t lose to those nasty bookies.
The Thursday, the day I should have gone, was a beautiful sunny day and I managed to find 4 winners, 2 places and a forecast. It wasn’t televised but turned out to have some really good races and I put my bets on with Paddy Power and watched the racing from their site. We’re all getting a bit worried about Graham as he hasn’t posted for a couple of Saturdays now in the competitions and Darren has missed him posting on the Golf Thread which he loves to do. A few of us have PM’d him over the past week and Nathan amongst others has tried to email him but he’s not responding.
We are hoping that he may have got himself locked offline and manages to get back in soon but meanwhile hope that all is ok healthwise with himself and Marjorie, they have been through an awful lot this year.
A soon as any of us hear I’m certain they will post on this Thread so we’ll keep hoping that we hear some news and Graham is back with us soon.
Best of luck with the lucky last, that’s always my favourite race. I call it ‘win it or bin it’ and usually double my stake. Not always the best race of the day but certainly the one we all want to win if it’s been a tough day.

Jac
