Sorry to hear about your old school friend Sam

Sounds like you had a busy day planned and while the North Sea at 10 degrees might be invigorating, I will not be joining you. It reminds me of my old school days back in the early 70’s when our PE teacher made us go swimming regardless of the temperature of the water because that was what was on the calendar!
Glad to hear Dave is progressing well Jac! November 23rd is Thanksgiving Day here in the US, so I will certainly remember that Marjorie is getting her hip surgery that day. Glad to hear she didn’t have to wait long.
Take Care all and good luck with any bets!
November 13, 2023 at 18:27 #1670395Thanks Andre.
The North Sea is an acquired taste.
Wolves 1830these will all have to go some to beat the favourite who was an easy winner latest at Newcastle and while two pounds raise seems rather lenient there are plenty of horses coming back to winning marks…
mostly
Dodgy Bob
win
interesting off this mark lowest since summer win and from stall 1 Rab Havlin a notable jockey booking.
Sir Sidney smith
each way
drops in class for first time on handicap debut . First time headgear a clue

ZAKRAM
each way
stands a great chance under bottom weight here off lowest career mark with Mulhrenan up. A force of physics called traverse law the key factor here and he runs four pounds under winning mark. Best suited by a mile and last two runs on all weather at this trip have yielded a second spot and weighted and drawn with the top weight to go very close here under the aforementioned auspices…
November 13, 2023 at 22:58 #1670408Zakram did it nicely staying on in third place and returned 6/1 from 13/2. Each way.
November 13, 2023 at 23:27 #1670411Moe, Andre Big G and Triptych, as you know my epistles have been gargantuan and as a result haven’t been taking in some of your posts. I’ve been posting some long entries which as far as size goes are coming to an end today. It culminated with my Dad’s anniversary as he passed 24 years ago today. We went into a pub later on that day and watched Scotland vs England in a World Cup qualifier. I didn’t register the score but it was a sense of of normality. I hope you are all well and I will be focusing on a couple of races tomorrow and hope to bag a couple of winners tomorrow as I turn back to proper assessment and race reading.
No winners today but a nice each way third.
Best regards,
Same.November 14, 2023 at 11:06 #1670428I’ve been having the same problem Sam keeping up with the posts, so apologies for any I haven’t answered. We are in a bit if a mess with the builders at the moment and my concentration is out the window.

Wish Marjorie well on the 23rd Graham and Andre enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and Sam nice to hear you celebrated your dad’s passing in a way that made you feel close to him.
Good luck with the horses this week everyone. I’m feeling totally lost now that flat racing on turf has ended but guess I will get back into chosing some decent AW races soon and post some choices up on here soon.
Hopefully find a few winners…
Also will be keeping an eye on that new Godolphin competition starting soon, can’t believe it is kicking off so early
and not forgetting Graham’s TRF Tote 10 To Follow starting on Saturday..
So much to think about … best of luck…Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 14, 2023 at 15:53 #1670447This is my happy place racing wise so I don’t want to put a damper on it but I’m so upset about Graham Lee I can’t summon up any enthusiasm racing wise. I just keep looking for updates even though I know in my heart they aren’t going to be good.It breaks my heart when a horse dies but this is off the scale.
November 14, 2023 at 17:44 #1670451Hello moehat:

Many Thanks
November 14, 2023 at 18:16 #1670453Devastating news John and Moe…
Sadly there have been some dreadful incidents based around the stalls this year putting the lives of horses and jockeys at risk.
I have just put in my IJF order for Cards and 2024 Calendar and added an extra donation towards it’s work with jockeys such as Graham Lee and hope and 🙏 pray that he responds well to treatment.
Hard to find the words to express how I feel but all thoughts are with his family.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 14, 2023 at 18:45 #1670455I always buy IJF cards but wasn’t going to buy any this year as I don’t send many cards these days and my cousin, who always looked forward to them, sadly died this year. I’ve literally got a box full of old ones that never got sent because I always bought far too many. I do buy other things from them, though; hats and things. I hope they’ll be at Kelso later this month; if so I’ll give them a donation if I can’t see anything to buy. I wish I could do more. I know his family will have the best possible help from the IJF who do so much for so many people, not just jockeys. Thinking of dear Liam, too.
November 15, 2023 at 22:23 #1670558Well still on my phone, my laptop has definitely departed and isn’t coming back. Black Friday came at a good time for me and I’m picking up the new one on Friday. So hope I can catch up then. I hope the set-up is straight forward as I’m pretty useless with technology.I hope everyone is well and John if you hear anything from SamD, give me a shout on pm
November 16, 2023 at 01:29 #1670568Didn’t you have laptop problems not that long ago Graham…. or maybe that was someone else that got a new laptop.
November 16, 2023 at 04:03 #1670576Think it was over a couple of years ago Andre. I must admit I’ve dropped this one a few times and this recent one the other day has definitely destroyed the screen. Also it’s been playing up and the keyboard is damaged. Just under where you plug it in, there is a gap in the base. I didn’t take out an insurance policy with it and I think it needs so much done that it would cost a lot to fix it. Fortunately currys, in their black friday sale are offering free 24 months interest free so for a £500 laptop I’m £20 a month. Seems it’s the better option of the 2
November 16, 2023 at 09:43 #1670588Best of luck with your new laptop Graham, I only got a new one last year and it’s brilliant it’s a Lenovo, they are advancing so much now it’s hard to keep up with the technology but the tech guys at Currys are pretty good.
I’m lucky that my son lives just down the road and works for the cyber security of a well known firm of Solicitors. Don’t know what we would do without him.
Be nice to have you back Graham with all guns firing again and be careful not to drop this one..lol
Just posting up the Select 3 Horses for the weekend and hoping to have a better week than last Saturday. Also looking forward to your TRF TTF kicking off, must remember to take a look through my selections to see if anything needs a shuffle although I’m quite happy with my Dark Angels team.

Look forward to the weekend … all good wishes to everyone to keep up the good work and thoughts with Graham Lee, who has thankfully just come through some serious surgery too make him more comfortable, for a some positive results for his treatment going forward.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 16, 2023 at 13:19 #1670607Seems just like yesterday Graham
As Jac said, don’t drop the new one! I have a Lenovo laptop as well Jac. I love it. It’s probably two or three years old now, but it’s been really good for me. My son is into all the technology stuff, computer gaming, etc. It certainly helps having an expert in the family!Good luck in the Tote TTF competition! A nice meeting at Cheltenham Friday – Sunday (I think).
Take Care everyone and good luck with any bets, etc.
November 16, 2023 at 14:07 #1670609That’s unbelievable, I’ve just bought a Lenovo too. Apparently it should have been over £700 but they had it on offer at £499. I subscribe to Which, and in that price range it was the one they advised. Well I’m in good company with Jac and Andre so what could go wrong
I shouldn’t say that it’s tempting fate. Perhaps it would help if I stopped dropping them
I’m kind of getting the hang of texting on the phone but can’t wait to get my new laptop.
I hope all you guys and girls are keeping well. I’ll need to have a look at the new Godolphin competition as it kicks off early this year.
Good luck this weekend all
November 16, 2023 at 17:18 #1670628Hello all I’ve been a busy boy with gardening in the rain and I’m in uniform of Guernsey shorts and wellies and couldn’t be happier.
I’d lost my mojo lately this year and hadn’t been in shorts for years around two anyway. But the outdoors and gardening have got me back where I want to be and it’s just magical.
Was walking around a stately home yesterday in some outstanding gardens and had a long chat with the head groundsman and his staff. Just great!!!
Anyway it might not help my selections any but here goes !!!Chelmsford 1730
Rogue Thunder
win
