Hi Darren..yes just Newmarket today have a 3 races that I am very keen on. Sadly ankle almost there but not quite so not going today, but definitely Saturday is pencilled in and it looks a good card. Hope I don’t need Nathan’s scooter..lol Good luck with your horses and yes Limato enjoying his time kicking his heels high in retirement. Miss him.

NEWMARKET 3.00
OPERATIC .. 10/1 EW (Best Odds)
He was taken out of the last race at Royal Ascot last week because of the ground and dropping back to a Class level where she could run to her best potential.
GREAT NEWS — 7/2 WIN (Best Odds)
Down in trip and well beaten by Derab last time out on ground that was probably unsuitable. Godolphin horses
love to win on this track.. Great chance today.Reverse Forecast
Great News
Operatic3.35 .. MALATHAAT – 5/2 win (Best Odds)
Promising run last time just beaten by my tracker horse Air To Air last time out. Hoping she goes on the firmer ground but judging by her bold action she should fine on the July course with it’s uphill finish.
4.10 .. AMETIST – 11/10 WIN (Best Odds)
Seems to be getting better with every run, think he will be hard to beat today and William Haggas/Chevely Park often a winning duo at Newmarket.
Combination Treble x 2
Combination Doubles x 5Disappointed not to be going today but hopefully saving the best for Saturday and can’t wait to be back again.
Good luck if you’re having a bet today.

@Andre
So pleased you are home safe and sound after your Road Trip Andre and best of luck at Newmarket if you have a bet and in the Saturday competition. If you get a minute would you mind updating your Godolphin Fantasy Stable results as I am putting up the Leaderboard this morning…Jac

I don’t think I have much to update for the Godolphin contest
but I will post on the comp thread shortly to confirm.Good luck with your bets today. I’ll make a point of watching some of the races.

Saving it all for Saturday now and some decent races..looking forward to seeing

Any views at Newcastle for Friday night
ZEEWYWADH 9/4
SUNDAY SOVEREIGN 11/2June 25, 2021 at 09:32 #1547675Fast becoming my cliff horse…
AIR DE VALSE
.. 6/1 Winruns in the 15.06 at Chantilly today.
This is her best chance to gain her 1st Listed victory today as the race is only run over 4furlongs although down as run over 5f

I am quietly confident her doting owner/trainer may have found the beautiful Air De Valse her moment of victory although my fingers are still well and truly crossed.
Com on ADV you can do it..
Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 25, 2021 at 13:26 #1547698Oh gosh, yes – lets hope ADV can get that win for you Jac after 5 races this season. I think the race is 7 yards short of 5F…. so maybe she can do it!
I swapped out five horses in my Godolphin stable, pulled in a couple of “big guns” racing tomorrow and a couple of “promising types” for big races in July. At this stage I have nothing to lose

Have an amazing day at Newmarket tomorrow Jac – looking forward to your report.
June 25, 2021 at 15:17 #1547722Over the cliff we go Andre… Air De Valse very one paced, she looked promising for 3 furlongs but just didn’t have that extra gear.
Oh well I will keep going with her.Best of luck with your new stable in the Godolphin comp, I too have swapped out 7 or 8 of my stable and had to include Hurricane Lane and Royal Crusade. It is an extremely difficult comp you need eyes all over the world.
lol. Will report back from Newmarket tomorrow night as out all day Sunday helping my daughter at a charity Vintage Fayre for Helen Rollason cancer research.
Best of luck in all the comps..off to sort out my choices early..

JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 26, 2021 at 10:06 #1547856Morning all.
I’m very sweet on Macswiney for the Irish derby.
His racing sequence is losewinlosewinlose recurring. Nine runs four wins. Unlike some of his rivals he hasn’t dodged a race.
Gives his all in running and carries your money honestly. Big price and no hype attached. Due a win, race fit while the ground is a question mark, his opening win over Bolshoi ballet was on good ground. Big enough price for each way.
Another one I like is newcomer Marbling from France debuting for Ger Lyons he was 8/1 but has been smashed in the betting. Colin Keane has got off one to ride this horse. Runs 2.30 was an each way looks like a win bet.June 26, 2021 at 12:38 #1547902I’ll be doing my competition picks but thought I’d mention a couple.
3.15 Newmarket – The Lir Jet 8/1 Skybet (after the 2 N/R’s)
He’s been a bit of a cliff horse for me ever since he bolted up in his 1st
2 as a 2 year old. Showed he was very decent when following up beaten a shd
in the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin at Chantilly and again runner up in the
Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh. Slow start at the Breeders Cup did for him
in his last last year. Looked like he was back in good form when beaten in
a 3 way tight finish in the Greenham Stakes At Newbury by Chindit. His last
2 he was 10th of 10 and 7th of 15, but you can forget them, I’ve no idea
why they let him run on heavy because he hates it. I think he’s got a great
shout and I see he’s in a point or 2 but still value.2.20 Newcastle Pholas 66/1 Betfred 3 places or 50/1 4 places elsewhere
The thing with Pholas is that she’s been priced up on her recent form. That might
sound daft, but she’s an all weather girl and all her decent form is on that surface.
Actually she didn’t do at all badly last time out at Ascot where she travelled really
well and looked like she would take a hand in the finish, but she lost 2 places in the
last few strides to be 5th but still only 1 1/2L behind the winner. That was over 1M and
most of her runs have been over that distance but her best form was when she won on the
AW at Lingfield over 7f in April. She showed a burst of speed, from last to 1st, in the
final furlong. She’s won 3 times this year over 1m at Newcastle so she loves it here. This
6f is the shortest she’s tried, but she showed a real turn of speed over 7f at Lingfield
and as I said she loves it here. I’ll be very disappointed if she’s not at least placed.Best of luck today all
June 26, 2021 at 13:42 #1547929Good Luck Darren, Sam and Graham! Hope you get some good priced winners and bash the bookies.
I just watched Anghaam win the 1:35 at Newmarket – a lovely looking filly by Frankel. I’m pretty sure Jac was on that one!
Pholas looks like a good find Graham – loves Newcastle and the AW.
June 26, 2021 at 15:25 #1547950Not going to plan today, disappointed with Pholas and my bromance
with the Lir Jet has come to a sticky end, he had no excuses today.
Thankfully Indigo Times (in both my competitions) squeezed into that
6th place with Skybet at 20/1. However no more than breaking even so
depending on my ante post on Truesham at 8/1 (in ante post thread) to
make any headway today.June 26, 2021 at 15:57 #1547964Had 3 winners today 2 I put up here
Glorious journey 6/1 Zeeband 6/1 if go onto YouTube type in Kevin Blake Irish derby I made a comment where put up Romantic proposal 5/1
So decent dayJune 26, 2021 at 16:13 #1547973Well done Darren
Big G we both drinking the wrong beer today!!!I’m hoping the reappearance of Cadillac after running so well at the breeder’s cup last autumn reignites my day.
Ontario ran Cadillac to half a length last time they met. So Ontario is my each way selection in the 4.20 with Cadillac win.
I am not sure if Cadillac was on lassix or not in the states. Can hope the lay off will see Cadillac fresh and prepped for this chance to grab a prize as the best horse in the race.
Harrington’s horses often have to settle for second place in so many races in Ireland……June 26, 2021 at 20:00 #1548023June 26, 2021 at 20:02 #1548024Great photo Jac..
