Two rough days in the Ascot comp for me – had a couple of winners in my reserves. At least Love got the job done.
Temps over 110 Fahrenheit all week, so it’s definitely toasty!
Good Luck with your bets on Thursday – and hopefully lots of comp points!
Stay Safe Everyone
June 17, 2021 at 10:03 #1545969Them dreams you’ve had about the match Big G…
Could be something in it.
This is Scotland’s make or break game and they will surely put their best team out this time.
Thoughts flow back to those days of old Wembley invasions in the sixties and seventies.
I was too little to see when Scotland became ‘world champs’, but remember watching the crossbar collapse in the seventies. I’ve a feeling they’ll be dominant in the first half.
So I’m looking to go half time Scotland to lead. All three end outcomes with Scotland in front at the break, (draw, lose, win) will be big prices.
Ascot for me good first day, bad second.June 17, 2021 at 15:54 #1546025Best of luck Sam, even although I can’t see it, I’m going to have to have a bet
on at 2-0 for the Scots at half time. I can’t ignore a dream as specific as that.
Mind you, I did say there was a disallowed goal even though it was over the line,
maybe he’ll give it this time
June 17, 2021 at 16:10 #1546034Think I told the story before about a dream I had when I was 10 years old
night before we played the league leaders who had won every game about 10 games and had a goal difference of nearly +100. My team were low mid table. Anyway the dream was a bit strange as we were playing them in the school playground so I should have known I was dreaming but anyway I was put through on goal and scored and we held on to win 1-0 if I remember rightly.
In the game itself it was uncanny, well expect for it was on a football pitch and not the concrete playground. I made a run through the middle early on and the ball was played perfectly and just like in the dream I was one on one with the keeper but unlike the dream I put the ball about a centre metre wide.
We went on to lose 10-0..
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 17, 2021 at 16:32 #1546048Lol Nathan, I hope my dream doesn’t unravel the same way. England 10
Scotland nil, nah it couldn’t happen, could it
June 17, 2021 at 16:47 #1546057Love the dream stories – hope yours works out well Graham – I’d take 2 – 0 Scotland at half, 2 – 2 at the end. Everyone goes home happy lol
Had a short priced winner and two decent placed horses in the Ascot comp, including Princess Zoe. My nap was also beaten 3/4. Three races to go.
June 17, 2021 at 17:21 #1546072Our Galileo colt Act of Wisdom goes in the next Jac- two stones lighter
I’ve put my pennies on ew.June 17, 2021 at 17:35 #1546074I’d be over the moon with that score at Wembly Andre, it would give us
half a change in the last game
Nice E/W with Princess Zoe Andre, I’ve done not bad today so far as well.
Just as per my competition choices I had Roman Empire at 12/1, but he was
bashed about a bit by Mohaafeth in the final furlong. I doubt he’d have won
anyway but I’d rather he had the chance. On the nose so nothing back. It perked
up in the Gold Cup, I had backed Truesham but got my cash back for non runner
so backed my reserve Subjectivist. He did it well. It got even better in the 5.00.
My choice Perotto, who I’ve backed a few times, won at 20/1 for me. I’m well
ahead now. Just got the 2 remaining, Military Mission in the 5.35 and Dance Fever
in the 6.10Best of luck all
June 17, 2021 at 17:49 #1546076Military Mission ran into trouble a couple of times, but managed
to get home in 5th at 20/1. Skybet went 6 places so that’s fine.
I’ve also done him in a decent E/W double with Dance Fever, that
would be the icing on the cake.Good day on Tuesday, terrible day yesterday, terrific day today,
that’s the Ascot rollercoaster
June 17, 2021 at 20:14 #1546111Bets for Friday and Saturday
FLOTIS 7/2
THE MEDERITERIAN 9/2
CAMPNELLE 25/1 Ante postNAVAL CROWN 7/1
JAPAN WONDERFUL Tonight 10/1 And 16/1
DREAM.OF DREAMS 5/1June 17, 2021 at 23:02 #1546138Sounds like a terrific day Graham! Well done mate – keep it going. No further points for me in the comp, so I’m stuck in mid-table.
Scotland always give England a hard time, that rivalry is always so competitive.
Jac – I didn’t pick Snow Lantern in the Coronation Stakes – mainly because she has a terrible draw, so that put me off her. Just hoping she runs a good race to show the talent she has.
Good Luck with bets on Friday. We start our long drive tomorrow, so I’ll probably only check in after we hit the hotel. Stay Safe
June 17, 2021 at 23:25 #1546145Prettiest made a very good debut recently in Ireland and may run very well in the Albany for Ballydoyle.
That is providing the heavy showers relent.
Beautifully bred, the first foal of Alice Springs by Dubawi. Whatever she does tomorrow, sure to enter many a notebook for the future.
An exciting prospect.June 18, 2021 at 00:00 #1546160Glad your all enjoying the footy so much guys and love the dream story Nathan.

@green .. Act of Wisdom sadly didn’t do it for us today but I’m on the two Godolphin horses in the 5.00 tomorrow..
A’shaari and Divine Light...think both of them stand an outside chance of winning or getting placed, best of luck.Andre wasn’t Love amazing yesterday and what a pick Princess Zoe was today in the Gold Cup, you scored some seriously good points today.

Great choices in the Ascot comp today Graham you picked up a nice handful of points and getting Subjectivist by the back door must have made you happy. I had him in the AP contest at 10’s and he was my pick in the Ascot Compy also in the TTF Ascot mini comp.. What a terrific race he ran.
Had to feel sorry for Stradivarius not getting the 4 Gold Cups…but not for long.
I was scoring up for Nathan in the Ascot comp and keeping the scores updated as each race was run and I really have to take my sunhat off to you Nathan for what you do in these competitions for us as it is quite a time consuming affair. As it got to the 6.10 I had two pots of vegetables on the go, some Scottish Salmon poaching and 35 scores to put into order and get posted on TRF but managed it by around 6.50..only 1 mistake pinpointed by Neil who scored a fabulous 98 points today. I’m doing it again tomorrow so check those scores carefully.

I couldn’t believe that after Subjectivitist had won and on checking the Tote 10 To Follow Ascot mini comp that I was standing at 5th in the Free Stables Leaderboard. I have 3 more chances to gain some more points tomorrow and after that all my horses will have run. Those still to run are…
2.30 Ascot .. Hello You
3.05 Ascot .. Alenquer
4.20 Ascot .. Snow LanternI’ll do an EW Trixie on those just in case they all win..lol but will be cheering them all home.
Keep enjoying the football and hope you have more ladders to climb up than snakes to slide down Graham & Andre in the comps.

Good luck with your horses Darren.
Wesley Ward waiting for his 1st winner..could it be Campanelle?Best of luck for two more great days racing at Royal Ascot..Jac

The Albany looks quite a tricky race tomorrow Sam but Prettiest certainly comes into the reckoning if as you say no more rain falls.I have nailed my colours to Hello You who put in a pretty impressive time when winning her Maiden at Wolverhampton.
Hoping more to come and looking forward to this race.
Also can’t rule out Cachet ridden by Nicola Currie who I saw win at Newmarket on 22nd May.
Some really nice fillies and certainly a few stars of the future running in this.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 18, 2021 at 03:22 #1546178I took Hello You in the Albany as well Jac, ahead of Prettiest. The race looks wide open to me.
I hope Snow Lantern runs well – I think I took her in the AP comp for this race.
June 18, 2021 at 15:10 #1546310
Alenquer
So happy for him..could have won the Derby.
