Well done with your winners over the weekend Darren especially Forest Of Dean being Godolphin I had a tenner on him too. Chose him as a reserve in pick 3 horses compy, no winners again there this week.

Hi to Graham and Andre, felt I was neglecting my Thread a bit this weekend but my heart wasn’t in it hearing the news of Southfield Stone really hit hard after losing so many horses last weekend ⚘ He was such a beautiful horse.

Mcfabulous was one of my Stable TTF too and was really disappointed with his run today ..think he will be on my swap list along with half my Stable

Looking forward to Super Saturday and getting back to some decent flat racing again..decs will soon be out.

My son advised me to watch Queen’s Gambit on Netflix and I vaguely remember Andre or Graham recommending it..will give that a go this week. :good:

Hi to Nick and hope all going well expect you have been busy this week.
Come back for Super Saturday with some tips.

Busy weekend ahead and Bob’s 4PP returning..can’t wait to get that started again with Nathan. :good:

Hi Jac, yes I watched The Queens Gambit and it was my son who advised it
as well. I’d seen the trailer but wasn’t convinced it was for me, but I
gave it a go and it’s very good. Yes it’s obviously got chess at it’s heart,
but there’s much more to the story than that. It’s very well worth the watch :good:

Queens Gambit is an excellent show Jac. Hope you enjoy it…. It’s a lot more than just a show about chess :good: I’ve even gotten back into playing chess after 30+ years after watching it.

A terrible weekend for racing indeed. Losing Southfield Stone and then the whole Gordon Elliott picture debacle!

    Stay Safe Everyone!

I can’t blame you for thinking about dropping McFabulous from your TTF Jac,
I feel kind of obliged to keep him in as he’s my star horse and hope that
they might have him ready for Aintree, I’d be surprised if he runs in the
Stayers Hurdle after that. I read Monday’s Racing Post but there was no
mention from the stable as to what was the problem.

It’s just as well I’ve got my golf to fall back on, I had the winner of
the Puerto Rico Open today at 20/1. He grasped victory from the jaws of
defeat, needing an eagle and a birdie on the last 2 holes, and got them.
It was good for my pocket but probably not for my blood pressure

1.20 Ayr Lead The Pack 33/1 E/W William Hill

I gave a look over the field’s last races and I thought that LTP
ran a good race on his 1st bumper at Carlisle. He was last off the
bridle but didn’t quicken whilst keeping on well in 5th. Out the back
for most of the race last time out in another 2m bumper at Ayr but
made ground into 4th and again keeping on. Both races on heavy and I
get the impression that the extra few furlongs will suit him. He’s
got a squeak at a decent price.

I’ll have a look through the card and see if anything ese jumps out.
Good luck with your 3 today Darren, and anyone else having a go :good:

Well done with the Golf Graham I haven’t got a clue beyond Rory McElroy and Tiger Woods . Speaking of whom wonder how he is fairing after his car crash?

I’m going to start on the Queen’s Gambit and like Andre it might make me get the old chessboard out of the loft and take an interest again. Remember now Graham it was your son who first highlighted it.

The Gordon Elliot affair made me feel physically sick that a trainer could treat a deceased horse in such a manner, I’ve had my say on the Thread. What a stupid man and in his positon close to what could have been the highlight of his career. :negative:

I like the sound of Lead The Pack Graham.I have a freebet from Paddy that is going his way today..best of luck and to our Darren also. :good: Jac

Tiger is said to be doing well after surgery on his leg Jac which had
multiple open fractures and a shattered ankle. I’m not going to be a
hypocrite and say I like the man, but I wish him all the best in his
    recovery.

I was really pleased my man Brandon Grace won in Puerto Rico, he lost his
father to the Covid virus last month. He was quite emotional after the win,
    me too

Glad to hear Tiger on the mend Graham, like you not a fan but he’s had his fair share of controversy.. shame as he was once one of the all time greats.

So pleased that your Brandon Grace won in Puerto Rico, his dad’s memory must have spurred him on and he must feel so proud.

Shame about Lead The Pack Graham he was there for the early part of the race but when he saw he had no chance guess the horse was saved for another day. Have to respect that decision the leaders were almost a fence ahead.
I did get 55/1 enhanced price for him so not being greedy halved my freebet to a massive £2.50 EW. :good:

Might look at some later AW races today..best of luck..Jac

Sorry about that Jac, he looked to be travelling well for most of the race,
I was quite encouraged, but he ran out of steam coming to the 3rd last, and
as you say Sean Quinlan let him down gently. It’s his 1st look at hurdles,
I’ll keep an eye on him. 2m 2f would look just about right I’d say :good:

Hey no worries Graham it was just a mini freebet so nothing gained nothing lost and I know you have a good eye for picking out a big price winner and he was looked after today.

I have a notebook horse running in the …

    5.20 WOLVERHAMPTON

PINBALL WIZARD (Dark Angel) .. 8/1 .. EW

Got me a nice priced EW Trixie together last run and this time I expect him to run much better and win, if however that doesn’t work out another place would do nicely.

My eye has suddenly been drawn to another horse by Twilight Son that is drifting like a barge in the betting and I don’t know why but at 22/1 have to have an EW play on him and do the reverse forecast.

TWILIGHT SECRET (Twilight Son) .. 22/1 .. EW

    Reverse Forecast

    Pinball Wizard
    Twilight Secret

Hopeful rather than confident but it looks a decent race and hope my Dark Angel Wizard brings some luck today.

Twilight Secret surprised me there running on to be 2nd and looking like 7f will be his next trip.
Went of 22/1 but touched 16/1.
Pinball Wizard disappointed in a very fast run race where the winner impressed pulling away.
    Enjoyed that.
    :good: Jac

Well done with your Midnight Aurora Darren and hope Reivers Lad got up ok.shame he fell when in a good position.

Official now that the BHA has banned Gordon Elliott from bringing his horses to Cheltenham and Liverpool.
Cheveley Park Stud have moved Quixilos to Mullins and possibly Envoi will follow.
What an absolute idiot Elliott has been to build up something so successful only to throw it all away posing for a sick and disrespectful photo like that. :negative:
