I’m just mulling through them now having got into bed about 2am
after 3 episodes of Peaky Blinders. It’s one of these series that
I’ve put off watching, it didn’t quite grab me, but having watched
a few (into the 4th series) it’s good stuff.

Good to see you Clints, I hope you enjoy the thread you’re very
    welcome :good:

3.05 Grand Dubai 11/1 Paddy Power (boosted)

Every time this horse has been stepped up he looks like he still
wants further. He won over 1m here back in December and in a much
hotter race earlier this month he was doing his best late on
(nearest finish). He’s got a decent draw in 2 and this extra distance
hopefully will bring about further improvement.

    3.40 Seniority 30/1 4 places Bet365

He used to be the Queens horse and Haggas trained. He was decent on his
day, the highlight probably being winning the Unibet Golden Mile at Goodwood
a couple of years back. Finished off last year back in March here with a good
2nd behind GM Hopkins in a Group 3. You can forget his comeback last month, it
very much looked like they just wanted to get a run into him after a year off.
I think he could be up for this.

    Perfect Inch 33/1 E/W Bet365

I’m a big fan of Dreamloper who I bet in a decent handicap last September at
Ascot. She won, but Perfect Inch gave her a real fright at the finish and I
didn’t forget that. Sometimes I wonder who they get to write the RP comments
which say “drop back in trip not ideal”. She’s only twice gone over a mile,
once when 7th of 8 over 10f at Salisbury and last time out where she was 2nd
over 9 1/2f at Deauville “every chance entering final furlong, kept on, not
match pace of winner”. She has run 6 times over 1m and only once been out of
the top 2. I think the mile is her optimum distance and I think 33s is way too
    big for her.

I can’t see past Soft Whisper in the 4.50, but she’s too short a price for me.

I’ll see how I get on with these 3 and maybe have a look at the last race
later on. I bet the 1st 2 before I fell asleep, I see Grand Dubai has come in
a couple of points whereas Seniority has gone out to 40s. Swings and
    roundabouts

    JOEY STEEL
    1253 Fakenham selling handicap
    2 mile 5f.
3rd at newton abbott off 86 in a 16 runner good ground handicap 2019 August.
Ten pounds lower now and running off bottom weight in this seller.
Trainer 1/1 this type of race. Great chance here if fit and well. Trip no worries for this maiden. Introduction to heavy ground and headgear LTO headgear off againstable won this race last year.
    Should go well.
    Just failed 2nd, well backed
    First race Gowran park 1.15
    SHANTU SISU
Hasn’t jumped a hurdle since March when a winner.
    last four hurdles
    1,3,2,4
Including fourth in this contest last year.
Great record on soft heavy. Trip clearly suits. Desperate conditions and horses dropping out. Conditions should suit but lightly raced at hurdles and laid out for this(Allegedly) Each way.
    Distant 5th that was disappointing

Not the best of starts for us Meydanites this afternoon.

My Final Thought had every chance at the start of the race but then lost her position and ended up with dirt being kicked in her face and she was eased at the finish. The winner looked like he could do it all again.

Staf Safari ran a decent sort of race in a 1 2 3 for Godolphin. 80 points for him coming 3rd in my Fantasy League team.

Relying on Soft Whisper to show them the way home in the 1000 Guineas and Althiqa in the Group 2. :rose:

With 19 Godolphin runners today anything can happen..best of luck for the rest of the meeting.

Well I hope my 3rd choice Perfect Inch runs a bit better than my 1st 2, it
certainly couldn’t run any worse, even if it gets pulled up !!
They weren’t just bad runs from Grand Dubai and Seniority, they were
complete shockers  . Seniority could have been pulled up just
after half way. That’s a new low for both. Fingers crossed for better
    in the 4.15 :good:

I’m going to take a chance on Chance 7/1 Bet365 too. I like
what Simon and Ed Crisford have been doing at home and
they wouldn’t be sending him out here for his health. Last
    chance saloon for me
