Racing in Ireland certainly is special Moe and the wild West Coast is beautifull and would love one day to take a casual drive along the whole length of it.
Your skeleton under the tree gets curiouser and curioser especially as there is a church nearby and sometimes in floods they can slip downhill and possibly it was stopped by the tree trunk and rested there until found..keep us updated if you hear any more..would love it to be the gardener’s gt.gt.gt.grandmother”s long lost daughter.

Noticed Spider’s Bite ran 5th today and didnt run a bad race. He seems to like Ludlow (won twice) so maybe he’s saving himself for another day there while enjoying watching dolphins on the beach.
Hope you get back to Ireland soon Moe.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 20, 2021 at 23:09 #1573542Andre thank you so much for the kind words about the Thread you have all made it what it is .. a comfortable place to chill out amongst friends.

Also many thanks for that Desert Orchid King George Chase clip and certain Moe also would have enjoyed it knowing he comes home safe and sound.
You could see him come alive as he began to hear the roar of the crowds, he was a real show off and flew over those last 3 fences in front of the stands.
Was a great fan and saw him many times at his Open days and have a treasured plait of his mane that Midge Burridge sent to my daughter when she was recovering from Leukaemia. That family shared Dessie with the Nation he was a horse of a lifetime
Hope you have a fantastic Boxing Day with your family Andre, we are all scaling down this year prior to another threatened lockdown but looking forward to what we have planned..what is it they say yesterday is the past, tomorrow the future but today is a gift and that’s why they call it the Present.🎁
Happy Christmas & New Year. 💞 Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 21, 2021 at 00:11 #1573551Probably my last bet before Christmas and going for a 4 x timer…
🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
4.30 Newcastle
MASKED IDENTITY – 85/40
WinJosephine back on board and still well in enough at the weights to make this happen.
If I had one worry it would be the lack of cover but hoping that will not be an issue..love this horse he’s been winning for me since end of October.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 21, 2021 at 18:11 #1573693Good boy he did it again..
4 times in a row..Paddy is reeling in his little leprechaun slippers.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 21, 2021 at 23:51 #1573817Spider ran really well didn’t he. Jumped superbly and really seemed to be enjoying himself. I keep wondering if he needs the dreaded wind op because he doesn’t finish his races. When we last saw him on the beach I remarked how beautiful he was but that he was a bit of a monkey. Not sure if that remark went down well….Adam had a nice little mare in the bumper who didn’t trouble the leading three but was staying on well at the end. I can’t wait to see how Wise Eagle does when he races again. I saw a King George on Facebook, the one with Dunkirk and Arkle. I hadn’t realised that Dunkirk had died in the race but when I googled it it said they discovered that he had equine flu, his lungs were full of blood and he probably wouldn’t have survived the race. It reminded me of Humorist. I used to stay at Old Bricket Wood ( not at the nudist camp there I hasten to add) and there was a photo in the pub of Arkle being ridden through the woods and his lad staying off at the pub for a pint. He used to be stabled nearby when he raced at Kempton.
December 22, 2021 at 12:51 #1573880How lovely that you see Spider training on the beach Moe that must be a glorious thing to behold reminiscent of Red Rum. Let us know when Wise Eagle is due to run.
Sad to hear that Dunkirk ran in a race against Arkle suffering from Equine Flu. Thankfully, in this day and age, that would have been picked up on and he would have returned a bad scope and not run.
Will still be popping in and out of this Thread but winding down a little now as presents to wrap and last minute presents to buy, so wishing you all once more the very best Christmas you can give yourselves, stay safe and well..Jac

Tabarak- EW

So a Reverse Forecast also played in that race.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 23, 2021 at 03:43 #1574066Lovely win on the flat Jac with Masked Identity, I reckon Paddy thinks you’re the robber

I’ll have a fling with Meydan tomorrow (well today) as well Jac, not got a lot else on my plate.
3.10 Summer Is Tomorrow 13/2 Willian Hill
Ran well enough in 2nd on debut last month over c/d, didn’t see out the 7f last time,
although well thought of going off 5/2 fav. Back over 6f I’d expect improvement3.45 Mayaadeen 13/2 William Hill
A 2 time winner over c/d last year, January and November off marks of 75 and 74. Lost the
place a bit after that before taking a break in April. Pleasing enough comeback run over
1m at Jebel Ali in October and followed that with with a runner up last time out, running
on best at finish, over 1m at Jebel Ali. Back at a course he’s done well and off a mark of
67 he has to have a good shout off bottom weight.4.20 Imperial Empire 11/2 William Hill
Got to the front and the rest didn’t get in a blow. He’s up 7bs for that but could still
have more to come. A good combination of Seemar who’s had 6 winners in the last 14 days
and Tadhg O’Shea, who had a 26% strike rate over the same period.Good luck with your 3 today Jac, and everyone on King George day
December 23, 2021 at 13:01 #1574117Good Luck with your Meydan bets! Hope you do some bookie bashing

I was disappointed to read today that at least two of my TTF horses won’t be running as expected (Energumene & Kilcruit) over the next few days.
Stay Safe Everyone!
December 23, 2021 at 13:26 #1574120Sometimes a name is so ugly it’s beautiful ( if that makes sense) and that’s what I find with Energumene. I have to admit that the Mullins superstars tend, in my mind, to blend into each other but he’s one that I’ve developed a fascination with. Aided by the fact that he’s so darned beautiful.
December 23, 2021 at 15:43 #1574136Brilliant shout with the first Big G
Agree on the next
3.45.
Saver win bet on
Discovery Island.
Won here two weeks ago and only raised a few pounds. Taking display last time. Will of course be harder but looks to have come on a bundle since finished 5th to Palace pier in England.December 23, 2021 at 16:23 #1574145Thank you Big G.
For imperial Empire.
I think I’ve got 15/2!
Nope
7/1.
Brilliant shout.December 23, 2021 at 16:30 #1574149You’re very welcome Sam, I also had them in doubles and an e/w treble, so
did well out of it too
December 23, 2021 at 16:39 #1574152That is a real confidence booster.
I thought long about the favourite ex Roger Varian but realised ( at last)there is no scope in backing odds on shots settling into new environments. Led well but soon petered out.
The stakes race next up.
Al Nefud is an exception to that rule, won’t be favourite here and dropping back to a mile has a great chance on debut under Tad O’Shea.
A good 5lengths2nd to the smart Bay Bridge stretched his stamina after leading several times. Suggesting a drop in trip would suit.
Bay Bridge went on to win three more times over 10 furlongs.
Not usually a good idea to back these first time out but this doesn’t look too strong a race.
Al Nefud win.He looks like he is going off favourite but around 6/4. Crying out for a mile may well need the run, but worth chancing the fitness first try at the trip, sure to be in front at least once in this race!!
December 23, 2021 at 17:04 #1574158I had to nip out darn it !! Well done Sam with Al Nefud, I didn’t
see the race but would have gone with you on that one. Not to
worry, I can’t complain. Well spotted
December 23, 2021 at 17:11 #1574160He won by a country mile Big G.
Well worth a looksee on at the races.
I noticed the way Tad O’Shea kept looking around before taking the inside rail.
We are going to see a lot more of that in future. ( Until the court appeal is settled over here)
OShea is on fire and I’m having a small each way on Behavioral Bias in the last.December 23, 2021 at 17:19 #1574161Behavioral Bias is 5/1
Another option is Behavioral Bias win w/o Fanaar( the favourite) which is just 1 point less at 4/1. - AuthorPosts
