Miss Jingles jangled in..should have followed my list..never mind..the race video of Spright winning her last race was amazing and swayed my choice.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 29, 2020 at 16:04 #1495572I was just going to say that Jac, I hoped you had put a saver on her. I though I had the winner
with Country Carnival until Miss J did me late on
Here’s hoping my nap has a happier outcome, he looked more like his old self last time, but
had nowhere to go in the race. he’s much better than his down the field position there. I see
the 25s have disappeared, I was hoping he would keep above the 20/1 mark for the points. Surely
that’s not asking too much
July 29, 2020 at 16:30 #1495580Oh another near miss Graham 💥 Magical Wish ran such a good one and your each way price was good.
Still 3 more days and time to catch Mike if he’s still leading .. those big price places still rack up some good points.
Very well done with Mohaather
he had a mountain to climb but once he was out in the clear and his momentum got going it was all over..lovely horse.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 29, 2020 at 16:41 #1495584Was on 2nd in Sussex gutted
Trip you see sad news of Defoe RIP
Trip you a fan of NH Horses i got 2 bets at Galway and you seen a lot of them in big races like the cesarewitch
MT LEINSTER 16/1
THREE MUSKETEERS 16/1In plate and hurdle
July 29, 2020 at 16:55 #1495587Just catching up on the action
Siskin was carrying the most weight of my wallet but that is insignificant hearing about poor Defoe..
I did have a few quid on Toro Strike at 7’s last night so have played a little on The Storyteller over at Galway each way 6 places at 18’sManaged to finalise the sell of my fathers house today.
Was horrible handing over the keys, so many memories in that house..Charles Darwin to conquer the World
July 29, 2020 at 16:58 #1495591I did see the terrible news about Defoe darren I posted on Memorials thread for him..heartbreaking. Such a beautiful horse the saddest of days.⚘
Both of us unlucky in the Sussex a few hard luck tales and my Siskin had every chance but Mohaather won on merit.
Not a great NH fan darren but will take a look and hope they go well for you.
Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 29, 2020 at 17:12 #1495597Thanks Jac, Magical Wish was trying to get out for some time, he did well when
he eventually did, but he’s a good galloper and didn’t have the kick of the fav.
Still it was a good place, and I was keen on him so had a bit on e/w. Still got
plenty of ammunition for the next 3 days
The sad side of racing came today with Defoe having a fatal injury on the gallops.
It just shows it can happen anywhere. So sad.July 29, 2020 at 17:12 #1495598Yes Nathan when the news came on TV this afternoon I suddenly didn’t feel like I cared much about the racing and then Mambo Nights won in his distinctive colours as if to say well life goes on..and it’s so true..we’ll never forget him.

Toro Strike won well for you today the money was certainly down.
Good luck with The Storyteller at Galway.
Saying goodbye and handing over the keys to your dad’s house is a hard thing to do but nothing can take away your memories. It will seem strange for a while but it gets better

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 29, 2020 at 20:59 #1495637Very sad news about Defoe
Glad I kept it small stakes today. I will be having a proper pop at a few tomorrow. Here are the ones to avoid
1.45 Magnetised but of mathematical bet managed to get a bit of 3s ew 123 1/4 ODDS form of latest second looks ok and seems to be on a fair mark
2.15 Yazaman at 15/8 ( even 7/4) seems fair enough to confirm form with Qaader
2.45 English King to confirm promise of lingfield effort and prove Derby run all wrong.
They are my main bets with a small ew Golden Bear in 4.55. Hoping mark of 72 is on lenient side for Windsor effort.
Good luck if you play
July 29, 2020 at 21:21 #1495641With you on yazaman Nwalton
Put him up on here in the big races thread when decs first came through at 4/1 think he has an outstanding chance and is even a decent price at 7/4 given how easily he beat qaader last time
Also gutted to hear about Defoe a very good honest race horse who from a personal point of view did me 3 or 4 favours over his career
I’d be really sweet on Al Aasy to beat English king tomorrow but the extra weight means it’s a small stake bet, off levels I’d have had a decent sized one
July 29, 2020 at 22:02 #1495646Well played on the price on Yazaman FF
just wonder how Al Aasy will cope away from newmarket and if the ground quickens up anymore. Also along with the penalty for latest win was enough to sway me into the English King camp
Good luck
July 29, 2020 at 22:11 #1495647Yeah only a small play on Al Aaasy
Hes a horse i really like going forward so hoping for a good run even if he doesn’t win
July 29, 2020 at 23:08 #1495652Very sad news about Defoe – that over shadows everything else in racing today. Terrible news.
Mohaather got the job done once he found away around the congestion. I had more winners in my reserves in the Goodwood contest than in my main selections today. (Chamade, Mambo Nights, & Miss Jingles). Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
Sorry about your dad’s house Nathan. Hope it helps bring you some closure as time goes on. Take Care
Good Luck
Andre
July 30, 2020 at 00:40 #1495663Hi Nathan, that was a hard one today handing over the keys for your dad’s house. I was
bad enough just leaving our house after 30 odd years where my kids grew up. As Jac and
Andre have said, time helps it a bit and you’ll start to focus on the good times.
Take care mate
July 30, 2020 at 06:14 #1495669Just read your post Nathan, had to do that many years ago, but trust me your dad will always be in your heart.
Even now I pop around to the old place look up at his bedroom window and ask for advice.
Take care mate
July 30, 2020 at 08:48 #1495677Best of luck today everyone and it looks like Yazaman going to be top pick for lots of us..well done with that price Andre and good luck FF also
Darren has English King going today and expect a big run from him after Circus Max defeat in the Sussex and the loss of one of our favourite sons Defoe who was on your list this week..I hope he runs well for you today darren.
I’m not crazy about today’s card it looks trappy to me so treading very carefully..I have so many scribbled out and then scribbled back in again I just know I’m in for one of those days

Think YAZAMAN 2.15 best bet of the day..and going with Mark Johnston’s SUBJECTIVIST in the 2.45 progressing nicely and looking for an each way value bet against the fav.
FANCY BLUE with that 9lb advantage over her rivals seems almost to good to be true but her form with Peaceful and Alpine Star makes her my choice and I would expect Graham’s too.
Thinking that Lavender’s Blue might pick up a place today at a big price and what a nice forecast that would make.
She just gave up the ghost in her last race and something was definitely not right, thankfully not serious and she is back again today taking on the big guns..Amanda Perrett obviously thinks a lot of her and know Graham has been a fan for a while too
In the last I’m taking on Winter Power with DIFFERENT FACE who was winning her penultimate race when Yazaman came with a wet sail to spoil the party..she then went on to win next time and the Crisford yard is on a roll at the moment.
Best of luck with your choces today Nick I think both Golden Bear and Different Face will give Winter Power something to think about.
All my choices (to avoid) in the Goodwood compy..have a good day and let all the horses come home safely.
