Seems to be money going on Sea Moon on oddschecker; maybe due to having a good draw perhaps?

Probably the fact that he’s one of the classiest horses in the field, on his day this boy is something very special in my opinion. Whether or not the penny will drop tonight across the world I have no idea though.

Masked Marvel was good to me when he won the St Leger and he should like the going and trip but he’s done little since then and although his weight reflects that, he’s not one for me. I have always thought Sea Moon was best with cut in the ground and I’m not sure he really wants the trip. I don’t follow Aussie racing and would tread cautiously for that reason, but if I had to have one in this race I’d opt for Brown Panther, who won the Goodwood Cup before running over 6f less next time. He’s probably unexposed at this trip and looks worth an each way at 18/1, with Fiorente, Dandino and Mount Athos all looking too short for my money and Simenon perhaps lacking the tactical pace for the hustle and bustle of this big handicap.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Going for an outsider in Super Cool. Has got some decent form over shorter but if he stays the 2 miles he may sneak a place. Will also be cheering on Brown Panther.

Simenon and Dandino 4th and 5th, so at least I got one placed. Why the heck didn’t I have a sentimental bet on Red Cadeaus?? At least the two I was worried about, Seville and Dear Demi didn’t place and Mount Athos didn’t win [sorry Mount Athos backers]. Oh well, another year over and at least I was able to hear the advert for Peter the Possum Man [which I’d forgotten about]. Now to get some sleep!

Well done Fiorente, he ran the perfect race. Red Cadeaux just never lets his backers down, and I know there are a few on here fancied Mount Athos, he ran a cracking race to for third.

I haven’t a clue what Steven Arnold was doing on Sea Moon. From a great draw he managed to be last at the half way point, he then came through like a train, got to the front on the final bend and by that time I reckon the petrol was spent and he got swallowed up

I know I’m talking a bit out of my pocket, but it certainly wasn’t his (the jockey’s) finest hour.

I’m going to be knackered in the morning, but the whole theatre of the Cup was awesome.

Only heard it on the radio as usual [hope to watch it later; mind you it’s one race that they show on the news I think]. At least, for the first time ever I don’t have to get up and go to work in three hours time [although it means I can’t bore everyone at work about it]. I half listened to Radio Sport throughout the night, so I was in ‘the zone’ and I’ve got an internet chum on another forum in Australia that tells me whats happening over there.

I’m gutted about Verema; didn’t realise till later this morning. Thought Dandino had been given a Mount Athos [last year]type ride seeing how fast he was finishing, but connections said he didn’t stay.
