    Funny thing, Melbourne Cup, backed Americain to place, my biggest bet of the year, like a fool I presumed in a 24 runner handicap I’d collect for 4th place .. sadly I was wrong.

    . It’s a disgrace only going first 3; I wouldn’t even check the small print with so many runners.
