    “I’m not sure there’s an awful lot she can go for in March. She’d ideally want two and a half miles, but then you meet Envoi Allen (in the Marsh Novices’ Chase).

    “There’s the new mares’ chase, but that’s not really for novices – after just one run, that would be asking quite a lot.

    An argument can be made that she is an inexperienced novice.
    But a counter-argument can be made that noone knows what attributes are needed to win the race as its the first ever Mares Chase. Plus no PTKO, and BDD meeting with a setback status unknown, and horses including Colreevy carrying a penalty.

    With doubts over DDC’s participation, I’ve added Elimay 7-1 ew who ran well today and wont get a penalty as I understand it.

    Hope so. Shes running in a Listed Chase next and then on to this so looks like I have a runner at least. Read that Colreevy may miss Cheltenham but not definite.
    If both run i reckon BDD might go Mares Hurdle again if fit.

    Its bloody ridiculous at the minute.

    1. Don’t want to come out of Novice company.
    2. Don’t want to race against a good Novice either, mind you.

    I wish the BHA would create a few walkover races to make things a bit fairer for him.
