What is the longest consecutive losing run of uk favourite’s from race to race and day to day?

I think I remember there being a meeting last Summer (maybe Goodwood or Newmarket, or anywhere else) where no favourites won for 2 days. To be honest though I may have just made that up in my head.

The Massey site gives a rather unsatisfactory losing run of 29+ occurring three times on the Flat between 1991 and 2010, though it’s unclear whether this includes JFavs and CFavs too

My NH database (1995 – present) gives a losing run of 33 for Clear Favs and 41 if including JFavs and CFavs

This occurred sometime between 2001 and 2006, can’t pinpoint the exact date as "the query is too large to display in full, only summary information available"

Timeform’s palaeolithic Analyser function seems to get the colly-wobbles if asked to display more than around 500 records, so extracting the actual sequences would require almost a month-by-month number crunch, and life’s too short etc Nathan

Someone else may be able to help, and indeed verify my figures

No, I’m trying to answer a question for someone else and roughly 29 was the guess anyway.
