I’m very confident about Landofsmiles in this, but even at 16-1, I’m reluctant as he has loads of entries at the moment. He’s my main hope, so I’ve had a small bet at 16-1.

The 9’s at the start of the week for Deise Aba looked very fair to me, but I also liked Talkischeap, and didn’t fancy betting two for this Antepost.

The 9’s is long gone for Deise Aba, so I’ll have an early one on Talkischeap, as I thought he was travelling really well
before a soft unseat last time, in The Glenfarclas.

Can Strictlyadancer keep improving? I can’t see why not. There is probably better value out there, but until we see where his limit is; I see no reason not to stick with him. I’ll perhaps have a second one, however I will wait until the morning.

Hoping to see The Mighty Don put up a decent round of jumping. His enige was working fine at Cheltenham last time behind Yala Enki.

    The Mighty Don 14/1 EW

Definitely Deise Aba for me, but can’t bring myself to bet him, having missed that 9’s. Hopefully be back for Talkischeap in The Cross Country at Cheltenham next week.

    My top figures for this:

    159 Deise Aba
    155 Eclair De Guye
    149 Christmas In April
    148 The Mighty Don

Deise Aba is and in and out performer but goes well here and worth a chance.

Eclair De Guye has run well here, may have a bit of improvement and ran well first time out last season. Worth an each-way dig at decent odds.

I think the favourite looks solid for this doesn’t he, very nice run over hurdles, loves the track, looks on paper an obvious plot job. Only small question mark might be the ground being a bit quicker than he’s won on but that might help cancel out any stamina doubts. He’s probably not one to get stuck into at short odds with his overall profile but it looks a pretty weak renewal and nobody else interested me for today against him. Very interested in seeing how Highland Hunter goes with a view to Chepstow and the Welsh National, firmly on my shortlist for that one.
