How much would any of you pay for Pawan though?
August 10, 2007 at 17:41 #11103225 large would be cheap for Pawan, NV.
August 12, 2007 at 22:16 #111179That wasn’t very nice, Cheekster!

They got my thoughts bang on
I’ve seen RacingGirlUK on a few other forums and this is the only time I came close to replying but The Cheekster beat me to it. I guess it’s a word or warning to everyone not to tell tall tales
August 13, 2007 at 19:31 #111278Look at some of the amounts Nick Shutts has paid for exposed moderate animals and sent them to Kate Waldron. Making rich people stupid is God’s way of sharing the wealth.
Karen Waldron’s success with horses seems inversely proportionate to how much they cost to bring into the yard. The likes of Rash Moment, Young Lorcan and Milton Des Bieffes have all recouped their costs and then some, whilst the likes of Mondial Jack, Chef Tartare and Wyle Post – a 60,000+gns purchase that couldn’t even win a match for his Members race at Upper Sapey’s point-to-point meeting – have to filed in the box marked "financial disaster".

August 20, 2007 at 09:20 #111795not to mention Foly Pleasant – purchase price £100,000+, win and place prize money accrued £4, 858.93. Good call, Nick.
August 20, 2007 at 17:38 #111843Yes, but is he happy?

August 20, 2007 at 18:10 #111846At Doncaster the clear impression had been the current connections were going to purchase Augustine back. I know Lucinda Russell signed the docket however don’t be surprised if he continues to race for the previous owner.
With regards to Nick Shutts purchases, if you gave his installed trainer, Mrs Karen Waldron, what level of performances would Kauto Star have achieved?…….They have made several big money purchases for horses with inflated marks and perhaps Kauto Star maybe witnessed at Newton Abbott’s 6.35 on Tuesday without a tongue strap.
What would one pay for Merry Storm?

very good!!!!As for Locksmith – I missed that one!! WTF??
Has Wylie lost his mind?? I’d have to think twice about spending £4k on the hairy goat – let’s face it, that’s about the maximum you’d recoup trying to sell the scrawny beast on as a riding horse – and that’s without factoring the costs incurred by reschooling the yoke and assuming he deigns to submit to reschooling!August 21, 2007 at 21:24 #112057…..and I bet you’d have to have a fair few battles along the way, resulting in a nice stripy pattern emerging on said yoke!
August 22, 2007 at 06:25 #112076I doubt any riding school would take him on after what I’ve heard about his performances in his flat days at home
