So that’s £695 staked, with a profit of £658 (I think, well done by the way!), whereas TAPK would have had a profit of £764. Do the math!
Not if he done £347.50 e/w, first of all he’s -£347.50 on the win part then you got £347.50 at 6/4 with 1/5 the place odds.
Can you work this out for me, I am bad with maths and got a U in my exams as a wee lad.
Thanks
May 15, 2010 at 18:00 #295833Mr W, from your posts its pretty obvious you feel a sense of relief, self rightousness, pride and frustration at those of us who were wrong about your Paco Boy,nothing wrong with that,i can only imagine how satisfying it is to put up an 8/11 winner, like you can only imagine what its like to put up winners at 90/1 (Albertas run,Ryanair)etc!
and for the record i was wrong about 16/1 paying 6/4 a place in the Lockinge,my £100 returned £210 at 1/5 the odds! Keep posting your big priced winners!
May 15, 2010 at 18:19 #295837Not really a follower/fan of the flat but i tend to watch the big races. Paco Boy is a massive favourite of mine, such a classy horse, and he so deserves his G1 wins to his name, a fantastic ride from Hughes today, knew exactly what horse he had under him and such a great performance by the horse.

You are joking Gaz? Hughesy was caught napping, credit goes to the horse for getting him out the S**t big time! Ouqba got first run on Paco Boy because Richard Hills wasn"t showboating!

Did you not consider just backing him in the place market? I got 11/4 on Pipedreamer and though the bet went down it would have paid more than a simple e/w if he’d got placed. I’m sure LS was around 5/2.

There was plenty of 9/4 Euro and yes i did consider it but its not the first time i have F****d up!I have many accounts and like to keep all of them active, sometimes i even take a shorter price just to keep up relations!!
May 15, 2010 at 19:23 #295850Confirmed form thats all he did.
Didn’t see the race but seemed to travel as he should. Still Not Convinced he has Heart for a Scrap and would be well below Goldikova and Rip Van Winkle.
Even Delegator i would rate higher but unlikely to see that Horse for years i reckon
May 15, 2010 at 19:25 #295851I’m moist at the thought of Goldikova being a backable price for the Quenn Anne because of today.

Never realised you were a filly Euro? Paddy Power incredibly go 7/4 Paco Boy, 2/1 Rip Van Winkle and 7/2 Goldikova!
May 15, 2010 at 20:03 #295854Wow are Paddy Power Serious?
Obviously Paco Boy goes and we know that for certain.
On the Day Paco will be 3rd jolly if the 2 big guns arrive
May 16, 2010 at 00:27 #295892I agree with TAPK with his opinion on Hughes, who was totally careless with his ride on Paco Boy, he was blindsided by other horses and it seemed clear he missed the run of Ouqba, he was still pretty motionless when Ouqba started to come on strong, when he sees him he starts to work Paco Boy and I agree that Paco Boy got him out of the **** cause if he found nothing off the bridle Hughes woudl have been a laughing stock.
May 16, 2010 at 15:42 #295988It might be worth noting that ‘Goldi’ beat ‘Paco’ when they met in the Moulin.
That day tactics & draw all fell in her favour…the ground was said to be too soft for ‘Henry’ (draw did for him – trends for the race show/back it up)http://www.zeturf.com/en/resultats/9743 … -Longchamp
Today at Longchamp we saw how big of an effect the draw can have…It makes ‘Lope De Vega’s win all the better in my book

Things will sure be interesting when these top milers all lock horns!

Some prices might look ‘big’ depending on how ‘Goldi’ comes back – still having to prove well being etc…

Big big LOL!!!

I reckon that there’s a few walking slightly differently – having been shafted by the stewards @ Longchamps today!

One doesn’t have to be a woman to become moist at such a gift. I’ve taken a slice of that 7/2.
