March 31, 2016 at 11:32 #1240433My two didn’t quite make the cut!!
Oh well at least it is money back for those.
Looks like I am just on Stipulate and Secret Brief at big prices and Mutakarez.
I think that might do for now but maybe another pick on the day!!March 31, 2016 at 11:38 #1240436i know the ‘cut’ i want to make, the bloke who told me Mutakarez wont be lining up.Good luck all who are on,as low as 8s in some places, wont be playing at that price, have my eye on one at a bigger price, but will wait for the day, hopefully get first 5.
March 31, 2016 at 13:45 #1240443I am glad to see Mutarakez in the field after all the mystery. He has been gelded, so in theory he is two stones better off now LOL
Gabrial came from box 15 to win last year but knowing my luck the low numbers will prove favoured this year.
I can’t entertain the favourite, who uncannily got the same box as stable mate Mondialiste got last season, adding another similarity to their profiles. I just can’t get involved at such short odds. David O’Meara has said the horse is showing them speed so perhaps a strongly run mile on soft may not be ideal and in any case there are enough question marks on a horse priced like he has 10lbs in hand over the field.
Udododontu seems sure to run his race. He hasn’t raced on soft for a while and was actually 18 lengths behind Mutarakez when the Meehan horse won his maiden. Very progressive since then, Udododontu has improved the best part of two stone and is my saver bet at 10/1 here.
Bravo Zolo is short enough for me, as he hasn’t won on turf yet and at 8/1 I would like that box to have been ticked.
Mutarakez 20/1 already advised
Udododontu 10/1 saver bet
Good luck to all.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
March 31, 2016 at 13:52 #1240445good luck steve,BG and everyone else.Correct about your selection mate, when i see the lad at york,i will have a quite word in his ear.I suppose poor lad heard about the gelding op(trying to do me a favour) and thought, for whatever reason he would be a NR.

If it doesn’t win Brian Meehan will be getting gelded himself!

March 31, 2016 at 18:27 #1240467I currently have one drawn 1 and one drawn 22 and Muturakez drawn 15 so thats the width of the track covered LOL
March 31, 2016 at 19:06 #1240474skybet gone back to four places, will probably change saturday
April 1, 2016 at 00:03 #1240490My three against the field:
Bravo Zolo (drawn 2)
Heaven’s Guest (drawn 4)
Emell (drawn 20)Looking down the field I think the draw is going to be favoured middle to high. There are lots of
horses that like to come from off the pace and may encounter trouble in running should something
get first run.it doesn’t seem that this years field is of such high quality as last years and although Heaven’s Guest has not won further than 7furlongs his class might just see him home on Saturday, I’ll be looking for his late challenge 2 furlongs from home.

Emell currently 40/1 must have a great chance to gain a place this year. Last year he was drawn 1 and out with the washing, this year he is on the other side drawn 20. The blinkers are back on after leaving them off LTO.
Bravo Zolo must have a great chance to take this having beaten Our Channel last time out, he seems to be settling in at Jeremy Noseda’s yard under new ownership having previously been trained by Marco Botti and the booking of Ryan Moore catches the eye…good luck
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 1, 2016 at 08:51 #1240498I was reading on the Racing Post website this morning about the gamble on David O’Meara’s Lord Of the Land, is this another “put the punter away” special.
To win the Lincoln I expect the winner to achieve a speed figure around 90, these are my best figures for Lord Of the Land.

It is all about potential but for what it is worth, I am puzzled to see Lord Of The Land so short here.
I did look at him when the entries were first published and was drawn to him because I had trodden the same route with Modialiste in last year’s Lincoln.
Mondialiste went close to winning and ended up more than justifying his purchase in landing a group 3 and a valuable race at Woodbine. However, looking at Lord Of The Land, he didn’t appeal to me as potentially the improver that Mondialiste did. It was also a slight worry to me that Lord Of The Land had landed a six and a half furlong race two runs ago. A horse with the speed to do that slightly concerned me as a type for the Lincoln.
Mondialiste improved roughly a stone for David O’Meara last season and perhaps he will repeat the trick with Lord Of The Land but at the odds he looks an accident waiting to happen and I felt the early value lay elsewhere with Mutarakez, who was considered group potential by Brian Meehan last summer.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

JacI think your 2 that are drawn low are in a good place Jac. As I mentioned before, I think that is where
the pace will be, quite likely by your Bravo Zolo, who has a cracking chance. It will be interesting
to see how they go in the Spring Mile, but regardless of how that goes, I think it’s the pace that’s
crucial.Good luck with your 3

Thanks Graham..Heaven’s Guest would be a poignant winner for me today as we went to a lovely old ladys funeral yesterday, our neighbour and friend for over 20 years and myself being a Dark Angel fan into the bargain it would be a great tribute if he won today.

Not so sure now about Emell with his high draw and Bravo Zolo would be a great result for us both.
