I’m a huge fan of LIBRIA BREEZE and I think the 4/1 on offer
at the moment is probably as good as you’ll get. I very much fancied his chances in
the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, he got no run at the back of the field but
when he did see daylight he flew home for 4th. He has an amazing turn of foot, and 6f
and 7f come all alike to him, so it’s a bonus that if the pace is on the slow side he
can sprint and if it’s truly run he will still cope with that admirably. He has to be
held up, and therefor he’s a bit open to a hard luck story, but with a touch of luck
and if he can navigate his way through the field, I fancy he can take this. I’ve had a
decent bet at 4/1. This looks a cracker of a race :good:

5/1 with us in the morning, BigG. Come and get it!

Surely if you’re backing Dutch Connection you’re banking on the ground properly drying out – in which case, how is he going to beat Limato?

Not banking on that at all, think the ground angle is overplayed with this horse. He has a nice action and not many Dutch Arts fail to act with cut in the ground.

I don’t think these are great horses and I reckon Librisa breeze will mow them all down in the final furlong. 7 furlongs his ideal trip.

I’d agree with that. Dutch Connection also has good goodwood form. A win and a second in this race the last two years, plus a maiden win. I’d expect the ground to be good anyway.

Many thanks LS, he seems to be drifting like a barge at the moment, so if you don’t mind I’ll
decline your kind offer, and top up with the 6/1 that is readily available. That seems huge to me.

Taken 8/1 Home Of The Brave

    Also:
Jungle Cat 33/1, Suedois 41/1, Limato 3/1 (biggest bet but to win least money of the 4 main bets)… saver on Dutch Connection 15/1.

My 100% book for good ground:
Limato 5/2, Librissa Breeze 4/1, Home Of The Brave 13/2, Dutch Connection 13/1, Spirit Of Valour 14/1, Acclaim 16/1, Dream Castle 20/1, Jungle Cat 22/1, Suedois 25/1, Stormy Atlantic 50/1, Oh This Is Us 80/1, So Beloved 100/1, Breton Rock 100/1, Jallota 125/1.

No money at all for Librissa Breeze. Had half a saver.

No money for a few of these by the looks of things Ginge.

Librisa Breeze, Spirit Of Valour & Dutch Connection all very week in the market with all the money coming for Dream Castle who’s now no better than 13/2 and as short as 11/2 with Corals. I’m on at 12/1.

Dutch Connection non-runner Charles. Not surprised Spirit Of Valour is on the drift. Am about Dream Castle shortening so much. I backed him last time at Royal Ascot and was disappointing. Anything come to light?

I think Dream Castle was feeling both the effects of a busy spring and the hard ground at Ascot. This will tell us more. Dutch Connection’s withdrawal doesn’t bode well for Limato.

I just don’t know why Librisa Breeze is still on the drift, the ground will be no
problem and given a bit of luck he has a very realistic chance of taking this. I
can’t ignore the 7/1, so I’ve gone in again.

Well done anyone who found that (I don’t think anyone did) but if you did, ask for a formbook for Christmas.

The ground may have stopped Limato from winning in the end or maybe he’s just regressive. Plenty of hard luck stories – Acclaim, So Beloved & Librisa Breeze all hard done by.

I didn’t see that coming, but great ride by Andrea Atzeni. Librisa Breeze
looked to be travelling well, but had nowhere to go. It’s a pity, he’s
talented but he’s going to be hard to win with with his style of running.

The esteemed judge sitting next to me just described Librisa Breeze as a “ball-tickler”. Apt.
