DABYAH 14/1
Coming into this year thinking that she be a guineas horse but sadly it is clear to anyone she not stay a 1m be a waste of going to Falmouth so think come here instead where she get nice bit of weight from rivals. And if bit of cut in ground be even more good news for her.

Good spot Daz, always liked that horse to win a good race at some point. Will have a bet myself on her as it looks the most logical race for her. Like Librisa Breeze as well but not sure if she runs.
July 4, 2017 at 17:45 #1307657Dutch Connection is fav but still a big price at 5/1
Trainer would be mad not to run him here, all 4 of his wins were 7f and his two defeats at the distance were to Gleneagles at the Curragh on a stiffer track as a two year with Gleneagles virtually in his prime and getting touched off by Toormore in the 2015 edition of the Lennox. Home of The Brave likes to make the running and is the perfect target for Dutch Connection to aim at.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 30, 2017 at 23:21 #1311996It’s looking a decent race with plenty in with chances. Dutch Connection didn’t run very well the other day over in Ireland when having things to suit, seems a long way to go for a warm up. Oh This Is Us if the going stays on the good side of good looks okay at 28’s but like I said plenty in with chances.

July 30, 2017 at 23:49 #1311997I’m waiting on the ground but at 4/1, Limato looks a ridiculous price.
He was arguably unlucky at Ascot in a messy race but still came home well for a close 3rd. That was in the Diamond Jubilee and, if it doesn’t rain in the next 24 hours, 7f on a track like Goodwood on good ground looks somewhat perfect.
That 4/1 for a drop in class for a horse as good as him is utter nonsense. For me he should be 13/8 or 7/4. That’s if it stays dry.
If it doesn’t pour down, I’ll absolutely be playing that 4/1 with Bet365 and laughing my head off as he gets punted in to half of that at least.
July 31, 2017 at 00:17 #1312000Am already on HOME OF THE BRAVE for this!! I think LIMATO may struggle in this ground and ditto Dutch Connection and apart from Librisa Breeze I don’t think the rest are good enough.
July 31, 2017 at 14:36 #1312032This is probably going to be the best Group 2 run all season in Europe.
I was keen on Home Of The Brave a couple of weeks ago and although drawn well I was expecting lesser opposition and I just think he isn’t up to winning a race like this despite being drawn well. I considered Spirit Of Valour but he probably does need firm in the going description to be seen to best effect and is 4 pound worse off with So Beloved and Stormy Antarctic. Librisa Breeze entered calculations when I saw the likelihood of easy ground but it’s looking like not actually being too bad and he’s been drawn out in the car-park. I can’t help but feel that he was slightly flattered in the Diamond Jubilee and was comfortably found-out in his previous tries at Group-level. All his best form is at Ascot as well and connections have been keen up to now to keep him there.
I’ve backed Limato at 7/2 to go get back to winning ways. He probably won’t be at his very best on the ground but I don’t think he’ll need to be. He should handle it and the course could really suit him. 7/2 for a July Cup winner/runner-up in a Group 2 seems too good an opportunity to pass up. I’ve also gone in for Dream Castle at 12/1. His form from the Spring is good enough to see him go close at least and I think probably just found conditions lively enough at Ascot. He’s had a nice little break since, this seems his distance and the nice ground will suit him better.
July 31, 2017 at 14:46 #13120337/2 still remains for Limato.
I’m going in on that. Utterly ridiculous price even if he’s beaten.
July 31, 2017 at 15:11 #1312041Hope your right MOM, LIMATO all the way for me too, but also having a saver on Home Of The Brave as his win in The Criterion at Newmarket at the beginning of the month was beyond good and we know that on the softer surface he goes well.
Might just chance a forecast Limato/Home Of The Brave…now that is either brave or stupid. Will find out tomorrow

Good luck all..JacIt’s interesting Jac because if the race was on Wednesday (when it’s supposed to be heavy rain), I’d be all over HOTB. But in dryish weather, Limato looks far too good for any of these.
I’m expecting his cruising speed to have them under pressure from a long way out.
That’s the hope anyway
July 31, 2017 at 15:36 #13120467/2 still remains for Limato.

3/1 general clear favourite now although you can get 10/3 with Bet365. With a dry night/tomorrow he could go off something like 13/8.
July 31, 2017 at 15:47 #1312049Off to Paddy Power to get the best price left for Limato tomorrow..thanks guys I really hope he wins.

Had a saver on Home Of The Brave and put the reverse forcast on although if Limato is in front, like MOM and Charles, I’m hoping nothing is going to get past him…
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 31, 2017 at 17:48 #1312077I’m a huge fan of LIBRIA BREEZE and I think the 4/1 on offer
at the moment is probably as good as you’ll get. I very much fancied his chances in
the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, he got no run at the back of the field but
when he did see daylight he flew home for 4th. He has an amazing turn of foot, and 6f
and 7f come all alike to him, so it’s a bonus that if the pace is on the slow side he
can sprint and if it’s truly run he will still cope with that admirably. He has to be
held up, and therefor he’s a bit open to a hard luck story, but with a touch of luck
and if he can navigate his way through the field, I fancy he can take this. I’ve had a
decent bet at 4/1. This looks a cracker of a race

Value Is EverythingJuly 31, 2017 at 20:19 #1312105Henry Candy quoted saying that Limato will only run if he thinks the ground is suitable after walking the course in the morning.
With this in mind I can only assume punters are lumping on, forcing the price into 11/4 with the guarantee of getting their money back if he doesn’t run and that Mr Candy will only let him run if he thinks the horse will win.
