It amazes me that certain phrases are given out totally randomly about certain people from racing journos.
The two that immediately spring to mind are Fergal O’Brien and Hollie Doyle.
Both are constantly referred to as being red hot , or at the top of their form.
Paddy Brennan seems in really much better form recently (small snapshot) than his retaining stable i.e. O’Brien , and Hollie Doyle is not the best jockey with the surname Doyle , nor even the best jockey in her own house.
I think Hollie Doyle is a good jockey tactically (most of the time) but she’s tiny even by Flat jockey standards and I’ve seen her struggling to settle big, strong, hard pulling, horses from time to time.
