I’ve not seen today’s racing but the ground is called Soft.
Not sure that’s ideal for either FRODON or GALVIN and will MINELLA INDO be ready first time up?
I’ve backed DELTA WORK.
October 30, 2021 at 11:18 #1565220I’ve also backed Delta Work. He has something to prive, while Minella Indo surely won’t be at his top level yet. Delta Work 9/1
October 30, 2021 at 12:20 #1565250I’m convinced Galvin is up to the task. Elliot is playing down his chances here with the Grand National being his preferred target, however I think it would be foolhardy to rule out his potential in graded company. I’m hoping this isn’t the start of a string of losses to bring his mark down for April.
October 30, 2021 at 12:26 #1565255Delta Work always usually needs his first run, his record in this race tells you that and the connections quoted usually needing first run back as well. Think some of you are underestimating Minella Indo’s fitness. Ready to have egg on my face if needed lol.
October 30, 2021 at 12:49 #1565271Minella Indo was fit enough to win first time out last season, albeit in a small race at Wexford. I accept he will improve for the run but I can’t believe De Bromhead is going to send him to the other end of Ireland only 70% fit in a valuable Grade 1.
October 30, 2021 at 13:13 #1565280Im with Peter and def think Galvin esp with fitness on side is up to winning this , the question is how fit Indo is ( trainer says he is ) and there,s always his jumping , bryony will no doubt set off at a lick then slow it down , however Frodon is always suspect to proper stayers and I see no reason why it,ll be any different today , hopefully it’s a cracker

Never will he be literally 70% but, like Delta Work he’ll have much bigger targets than this? Likes of Galvin and Frodon are probably out to run close to their best, one to prove himself and the other as it’s a big pot and he’s not one for March

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 30, 2021 at 13:50 #1565288Frodon has won first time out in 2 of the last 3 years but both were handicaps , I’ve no doubt Nicholls will have him fit but we know he,s no gold cup horse and I see 2 GC class horses in here plus a potential one

October 30, 2021 at 14:47 #1565309Your pal Delta Work is shining Bobby. Bryony was stopping to thank well wishers and sign racecards for people. I wished her luck! Minella Indo looks great and won best turned out.
October 30, 2021 at 14:50 #1565310Got evens on Frodon w/o Minella
October 30, 2021 at 14:58 #1565311wd winners. He was tough there. Good race.
October 30, 2021 at 15:01 #1565313Fair do,s for Frodon , stuck it out well , Indo will def come on for that and I reckon they,ll be more than happy with Galvin , I’ll be very surprised if Galvin isn’t in the GC picture now

October 30, 2021 at 15:01 #1565314That was absolutely fantastic. I am so chuffed for Bryony and Frodon.
BUY THE SUN
October 30, 2021 at 15:03 #1565316What a horse race that was! Frodon and Bryony a match made in heaven. Brave as lions from the front. Nicholls training masterstroke yet again.
Ok i exaggerated with 70% fit. Nobody competes at 70% in elite sport but Minella Indo will come on a ton for that. Perfect prep for the season ahead. He’ll retain his Gold Cup crown i have no doubt. Hopefully Jack Kennedy gets the ride as Rachael can’t do the job
October 30, 2021 at 15:04 #1565317Well done with Frodon venture, + well called with the 1-2 early on. Well done to Greenasgrass + Jack too
October 30, 2021 at 15:06 #1565318Tyt, “rachel cant do the job”
Seems harsh, considering shes a better jockey than him… lol
October 30, 2021 at 15:10 #1565319Lol neither were as good as Bridget at Ascot , up right on the line , seriously though Indo was out today for a good blow
