Why on Friday , Sunday and today has there only been one NH fixture ?

    Have there been postponements ?

It was a very very ordinary Saturday quality wise as well. You can just see it coming – cold snap hits when they are all trying to get their Cheltenham prep in.

And over in Ireland they regular have 15-20 runner races

I think the racing this season, Kauto aside, has been slightly lacklustre. Some of these fairly valuable novice or conditional races with 2 to 4 runners are a joke.

We lost so much racing to the weather last year and the recent high winds aside, conditions have been ideal

Are some of these trainers just not up to the task of training and targeting a winner ?

And i have to include Henderson here regarding lack of runners. A massive stable and valuable race after valuable race has come and gone without an entrant, or just the one.

I want to him to be Champion trainer but his entries are a tad puzzling.

maybe the lack of a cold snap has left trainers with more races than they were expecting. If they start to assume they’ll lose a month they might not train as much fr that period then suddenly they havne’t lost a month and have lots of 3/4 fit horses.
