While I can understand the sentiment behind the filly Liberty Beach for me she has the same chink in her armour as Battaash ..that she’s an out & out 5f speedball build for a particular type of track and Ascot’s stiff finish isn’t to advantage. Also none of her numbers come close to matching the favourite with only Glass Slippers, from last Oct,giving the impression that she can make a race of it.Of course we are all hoping that Battaash will turn up on his A game …if not ..this race is VERY wide open with some juicy e/w prospects at big prices.
The very simple thing is whatever beats Battaash needs to show improvement.
Just a little mentioned fact when talking of Battaash’s L’Abbye …..it was run at Chantilly more of a speed track than Longchamp.
You pays your money and takes your chance
    good luck to all

I think Baataash is the lay of the meeting.
His form figures 1st time out are 1-1-1-1 but he has always been given an easy first race of the season, a class 5 novice, a listed race and 2 group 2s. He has never ran at group 1 level first time up.
He has previously ran twice in this race and been beaten both times as well as finishing unplaced on his only other course run earlier in his career.
He has lost 10 of his 20 races and is now a year older and hasn’t been seen since finishing 14th of 16 at long champ.

Layed at 1.93 on Betfair and am confident he won’t win.

Also done a place lay at 1.32.

I won’t be surprised if he places but will be surprised if he wins.

If the real Battash turns up then anything else is playing for places.
I’ve had a go with Equilateral 14/1 e/w and done the
    rev f/c with Battash.

Well done winners, he turned up today! Won very nicely!

And FF of course theyll get close on a speedier track  hes been beaten 10 times… multiple times on speedy tracks!

Hes a horse ill always be against especially when hes 2/1 antepost, its a no lose situation over the long term.

Well done those for keeping the faith! I don’t see how laying a horse whose form figures at the start of the season are 11112121 can be a profitable exercise in the long run Ham. I didn’t and still don’t understand the thinking there personally.
