Market up….
https://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/ante-post-racing/national-hunt/king-george-vi-chase/winner
It’s far enough out, but this seasons winner Frodon, looks a fair price at 16’s, but they might not get things their own way this time.
While it’s impossible to predict how Covid will affect things this year, Asterion Forlonges makes plenty of appeal at the same price.
The one who isn’t quoted is recent Kempton winner Royal Pagaille, and I’d be very interested in him, to the extent that I might just look for a price. He’s the one I’d be most interested in betting right now.
I’ve not 100% given up on Master Tommytucker, and we should know more after Saturday.
Early Shortlist
Asterion Forlonges 16’s
Frodon 16’s
Royal Pagaille N/Q
Master Tommytucker 40’sJanuary 6, 2021 at 21:15 #1516667I tipped Asterion for this in March, in one of the other threads.
Edit: it was in the Cheltenham 2021 bets thread.
20s available with Bet365- I’m on.
January 18, 2021 at 17:05 #1518111Not great yesterday G, but I’m not out put off too much with him.
Master Tommytucker added now to the market at 40’s, that certainly appeals.
I’ll probably get Royal Pagaille added myself this week if I can, see what I get offered.
January 18, 2021 at 17:07 #1518112Personally I’d love to see mcfabulous go here as a novice
But he’ll likely be in the kauto star
January 18, 2021 at 17:10 #1518114FF, next year hopefully for Fab. This is definitely his race at some point.
January 18, 2021 at 19:25 #1518137I honestly think hed win this year
One of my favourite horses around at the momemt
January 18, 2021 at 22:48 #1518172Clan Des Obeaux 16-1. Just need to leave the Betfair Chase out this time.
January 19, 2021 at 11:02 #1518190Got 18-1 CDO with price boost. Will still only be 9, very few Irish horses turning up as usual, Nicholls learning his lesson re the Betfair (hopefully). Will be 6-1 or shorter on the day I reckon.
January 20, 2021 at 21:47 #151839416-1 is a great price for CDO, I’ve had an early bet myself.
January 23, 2021 at 14:47 #1518976Just took the 50’s on Royal Pagaille, happy with that, and hopefully he can continue to progress.
Royal Pagaille 50’s
January 23, 2021 at 14:57 #1518977Wonder where they will go at Cheltenham , he did that really well Inc the jumping
January 23, 2021 at 16:51 #1519033He Didn’t Like Ground, it looks like Gold Cup for him now. I thought he jumped much much better today.
I’m not going to have an early bet on him here, but I think that I will stay loyal with Waiting Patiently nearer the time. I bet him at 25-1 this year, and I think that they’ll be on a mission to go one better.
I agree with Mike and Lemons though, and I think the 16-1 on Clan Des Obeaux is worth taking early.
March 7, 2021 at 00:55 #1527720Looking at this, I just wonder if the switch to De Bromhead might make this a more realistic proposition for Envoi Allen. This race looks perfect for him, and De Bromhead was happy to send Monalee here before his setback.
The 12’s looks tempting on that basis, and I’ve taken that.
I’ve already added Dashel Drasher at 50’s, as it looks a realistic target for him too, for all he’d have to prove himself again beforehand.
Dashel Drasher 50’s
Envoi Allen 12’s (cashed out, small loss)
Royal Pagaille 50’sMarch 7, 2021 at 01:06 #1527721A plus tard as 2nd fav?
Are the bookies actually serious with that one, hes a stone worse going right handed
March 17, 2021 at 00:17 #1530159I really like this angle. With Elliott we could already plot his maiden open company season from Down Royal onwards but now it’s back to the drawing board.

March 17, 2021 at 01:38 #1530166I hope that’s the case Danny, thought it worth chancing anyway.
March 19, 2021 at 21:22 #1531269Listening to Henry he seems quite keen to bring him over so 10,s is a fair price
