    Sadly a fatal breakdown at Lingfield today.

    He was due to go to stud after his final run in the All-Weather Championships Final Day in April.

    That is the saddest news Ruby absolutely loved him. Can’t believe he has been denied the chance of a stud career and those who loved him of seeing his progeny.
    Heartbroken.

    I believe you, Jac and I guess anyone connected to him feels the same. It’s even sadder to recall that he was a non-runner exactly to weeks ago due to an injury picked up in the parade ring. Too bad, he recovered from that so well that they’ve decided to race him again.

    Awful news. I always hoped that he’d have a career at stud and didn’t know they’d found him a place. Makes it even worse somehow.

    I’m desperately sad to hear this news, he was one of my favourites and I’ve
    followed him for such a long time. I loved watching him run. I will miss him
    and it’s such a pity he didn’t enjoy the retirement he so deserved.

    One of my favourite horses of all time, felt sick yesterday after the incident. Was really looking forward to seeing him as a sire and just so tragic.

    Just seen this awful news, so sad, he was a real favourite, and so deserved a long retirement passing on his talent to the next generation.
