Golden Horde will have a 6lb weight allowance advantage in the race.
July 9, 2020 at 10:27 #1493298Sorry yes but the point Rory made, still is the same.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 9, 2020 at 11:07 #1493304It would be factored in if there running off levels, but there not,
That would mean that if he never raced again this season when he returned next season he would be dropped 3lbs, he wouldnt? So its not entirely correct when getting 6lbs from the older horses
July 9, 2020 at 11:22 #1493305I thought it sounded quite strange myself to be honest, but i haven’t looked into it any further. I would always have looked at him + said he’s essentially running off 124 on Saturday.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 9, 2020 at 11:31 #1493307In theory its 121 im sure, 2lbs per 1 OR
Open to correction on that but thats what my memory tells me over the flat lol
July 9, 2020 at 12:52 #1493312They are running off level weights he gets weight for age as a 3 year old so he is a 118 rated 3 year old much the same as Hello Youmzain is a 118 rated 4 year old
July 9, 2020 at 12:59 #1493313Namos each way 27/1
July 9, 2020 at 14:59 #1493344My understanding of weight allowance and this race is same as Jack, Golden Horde runs to his true rating but has an allowance so in effect runs off 124 compared to a horse rated 118 running off 6 lb higher as an older horse.
July 10, 2020 at 02:09 #1493423Yeah Jac, the trip is a concern for Sir Dancealot, and I was hoping he’d miss this, but he’s in there now, so I’d kick myself if I didn’t have an interest.
I’ll wait and see how the market goes, but I’ll definitely have him to four places.
July 11, 2020 at 08:00 #1493567I was hoping that Marie’s Diamond would head here but as he’s headed to the Summer Mile
I’ll row in with Frankie and Sceptical at 9/2. I think that Dettori just
pushed the button too soon last time, I don’t expect him to make the same mistake this time.July 11, 2020 at 08:44 #1493584Between Golden Horde and hello Youmzain for me. But I’ll save on HY and hope that GH is the new sprint king! I’d be keen on sceptical but the ground has to be against him over 6f I would say
July 11, 2020 at 08:48 #1493589Ground is currently gd/soft and there is 7 hours of pure uninterrupted July sunshine betweeen now and the race. Ground should be riding good come race time.
July 11, 2020 at 09:16 #1493596Added threat at 12.0 on betfair to my golden horde bet
Happy to take on the older horses
July 11, 2020 at 10:19 #1493608I think that 12-1 is huge price for Khaadem here, and I’ve bet him along with Sceptical at 5-1.
July 11, 2020 at 12:25 #1493623Rowlands suggests the times of yesterday indicate it’s probably already bordering on good ground at Newmarket. Another few hours of warm + dry weather and we are looking at perfectly good ground.
In May 19, Charlie Hills actually suggested Khaadem might like a little give in the going. Subsequent form suggests he is incorrect, but good ground shouldn’t be a worry for any of his backers.
Golden Horde should really win, but i think he’s priced about right, so i’ll sit the race out

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 11, 2020 at 14:02 #1493628I think Hello Youzman is the horse to beat and the likeliest winner though I do also like OXTED and have backed him ew at 16/1 with 4 places. I think he will go close and at the odds is well worth a bet.
July 11, 2020 at 15:22 #1493631Southern Hills as Ryan Moore goes for three on the trot in this.
Lord of the Lodge at a big priceNamos
German raider with William Buick on board has put on pounds of improvement each run trainer always slips under the rader here.
The favourite is worthy but these are interesting for value. - AuthorPosts
