Morning Nath and Jac and thanks for your contributions. You guys stay up late!!! with the 3 littl’uns I am dead by 10.30!!!
Anyway on to today and will answer your question Nath. I think We Are Ninety is a nice price and I have had a little ew but I can’t believe Architecture has drifted to 3’s! She is the class horse, she stays, she handles the ground. Has she recovered from Epsom? Well it was only here second race of the season so I hope so.
In the other races I have had mainly two bets per race. In the first I like Global Applause but also think Peace Envoy will go well (could be a better day for Ballydoyle I think). In the Tercentenary I am surprised at Blue De Vega‘s price. He has the best proven Group 1 form and handles the ground. If he stays he’ll go very close. In the Gold Cup I think the fav will win but I don’t like the price so have gone for two old favourites in Flying Officer and Pallisator. In the Brittania I have heard very good things about Mutashry. The worry is the ground but the mum and dad handled it so I hope he will too. I have also backed Garcia. And in the last I liked Points of View when I saw him run at Newmarket and he has a nice weight but I also think The Major General could be better than a handicapper.£80 win Global Applause – 9-4 – Norfolk lost
£25ew Power – 8-1 – Norfolk lost
£100ew Blue De Vega – 9-2 – Tercentenary lost
£150 win Architecture – 3-1 – Ribblesdale lost
£25ew We Are Ninety – 14-1 – Ribblesdale lost
£25ew Flying Officer – 10-1 – Gold Cup lost
£25ew Pallisator – 16-1 – Gold Cup lost
£35ew Mutashry – 12-1 – Brittania lost
£25ew Garcia 12-1 – Brittania lost
£50ew The Major General – 12-1 – King George V placed
£25ew Point Of View – 14-1 – King George V lost
£1ew Trebles

June 16, 2016 at 12:14 #1251788So I have been looking at all the videos of the fillies running in tomorrow’s Albany and I can’t help but feel that 7-1 about Queen Kindly is a steal. The favourite ran her best race on good ground and does not have a soft ground action. Same comments apply to the American horse who also looks a doubtful stayer. The only other filly that looked like she would like give is Mark Johnston’s filly, Kilmah, who was impressive first time out. Queen Kindly’s dam, Lady Of The Dessert, ran her best race on very soft ground in France and we know that Frankel thrived on ground with cut. Also, looking at QK first time out, she has a bit of knee and I think she will win this well. I am taking the odds now as I am sure we will see her contract over the next 24 hours.
£200ew Queen Kindly – 7-1 – Albany placed
£25ew Kilmah – 10-1 – Albany lost

June 16, 2016 at 18:32 #1251858Black type on its way for Queen Kindly tomorrow Joni..I couldn’t believe I got 8/1 with Paddy Power last night. Richard Fahey must be taking his morning suit out of mothballs as we speak.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 17, 2016 at 00:05 #1251907I hope so Jac. I need her to win after today!!!

June 17, 2016 at 11:39 #1251938So once again we have to bounce back after a disappointing day yesterday. No excuses – just poor tipping. Let’s hope things improve today.
In the first I am all over Queen Kindly. I am surprised not to see her shortening for this – I guess that Catterick race was a weak one – but Richard Fahey really rates her as does Jamie Spencer and I am sure she will go close.
After that I have gone for Beacon Rock in the King Edward. The O’Brien horses have been running consistently this week and I was impressed by this one last time. Quiet Reflection will be hard to beat in the Commonwealth – she was so good that last time and I think she might prove to be a superstar. The Coronation looks very open but I was very impressed with Nemoralia last time and, if she can handle the slower ground, she has to be value. I have also had little bets on Czabo at a big price and a saver on Nathra. Finally, Godolphin are on fire this week and I think Elite Army might prove to be a class apart in the Duke Of Edinburgh.
Finally I wanted to point out to anyone interested in the Jockeys Championship that SDS received his 5 suspension of between 2 and 6 days in the last 6 months last night at Lingfield. This means that he has now been referred to the BHA. He will be suspended for between 14 and 60 days. The bookies don’t seem to have noticed as his price hasn’t changed but it might be worth keeping an eye on……
£50ew Beacon Rock – 4-1 – Kind Edward VII placed
£80 win Quiet Reflection – 7-4 – Coronation won
£20ew Czabo – 40-1 – Coronation lost
£30 win Nathra – 15-2 – Coronation lost
£35ew Elite Army – 6-1 – Duke Of Edinburgh placed
£1ew Lucky 31 the above (excluding Nathra)"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
June 17, 2016 at 13:55 #1251967Good luck today Joni, will be cheering home Queen Kindly especially loud for you and hope you’ll be on Cunco tomorrow as he’s a speedier type than old Frankuus who looked like a Derby horse on debut.
June 17, 2016 at 16:11 #1252008oops – didn’t post the Nemoralia bet – have gone in again as the ground dries.
£35ew Nemoralia – 11-2 placed
£50ew Nemoralia – 5-1 placed"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
June 17, 2016 at 17:24 #1252024One more for today – Landofhopeandglory is one of Jac’s favs and has been well supported. Will do for me.
£50ew Landofhopeandglory – 5-1 – Queen’s Vase placed

June 17, 2016 at 18:49 #1252039A better day and we are fighting back. A winning day tomorrow should see us at least break even for Ascot. It’s been hard work though!!!
Getting the bets in early as Saturday mornings are normally manic.
Well this O’Brien 2 year old must be pretty special judging by all the money that has been lumped on him. He is now into odds on! I am sticking with my Frankel’s – Cunco and Frankuus – and I’ve gone in again on both of them. In the Wolferton I am hoping that Sir Isaac Newton finally comes good. He looked a horse of real potential at this meeting last year but hasn’t really gone on. Perhaps they were waiting for this, he has a nice weight….
In the Hardwick I am a big fan of Dartmouth and so hope Ryan as chosen wrong but I have also backed an old fav of mine Beautiful Romance who looked better than ever last time out. Finally Magical Memory is a huge price for the Diamond Jubilee.
£50ew Cunco – 4-1 – Chesham placed
£25ew Frankuus – 7-1 – Chesham lost
£35ew Sir Isaac Newton – 14-1 – Wolferton won
£35ew Dartmouth – 6-1 – Hardwick won 10-1
£35ew Beautiful Romance – 8-1 – Hardwick lost
£100ew Magical Memory – 7-2 – Diamond Jubilee lost
£1ew Lucky 30 (excluding Frankuus)"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
June 17, 2016 at 19:15 #1252043Mate already backed this CHURCHILL for 2000 guineas next year debut run was ok but he finish well i had him to romp home in a 7f maiden. But fact he going into listed race over 7f very intresting for me when you think trainer ran star fillys here in MAYBE and BALLYDOYLE.Think this colt will be better than Carravagio at end of year. But if he gets stuffed tomorrow slip go into bin
Any views on my bets for tomorrow they in my thread got decent ante post bets i do
good luck with your bets to.
June 17, 2016 at 22:26 #1252103Well Joni bit of a mixed bag today and AOB turned in a few turn ups for the books with Brave Anna 16/1 and Sword Fighter 33/1 in the last.
Richard Fahey couldn’t hide his disappointment after the race that he had expected Queen Kindly to win and she came to do just that but too late, Brave Anna already had the race at her mercy. I thought Queen Kindly ran a terrific race and she will improve for this and win NTO for sure.
Landofhopeandglory is getting hard to back, had every chance but nothing to give in the final furlong and no excuses this time, but feel that he is improving all the time and will get his win around Champions Day when we’ll get all our money back Joni
Well done with your each way on Queen Kindly and your bet on Quiet Reflection, Elite Army should have been another winner but the Stewards were more than lenient on Kinema.

Good luck with our boys Cunco and Frankuus in the Chesham tomorrow, I managed 9/1 Frankuus and 9/2 Cunco and I’ve done them in a reverse forecast I’m that confident, although reading Darren’s
confidence in AOB’s Churchill I will have everything crossed.
Hope Cunco behaves himself. Can’t wait for tomorrow to see them, will be at Newmarket watching on the big screen there and going mad.
Good luck Joni

Well that was exhausting but we have come out a couple of hundred ahead after an excellent day today so can’t complain especially after The Thursday Disaster! Delighted with that win by Dartmouth as I thought he had improved massively this year and was surprised Ryan deserted him. Watching Magical Memory was almost exactly like watching Queen Kindly earlier in the week – ridden off the pace, coming there down the stand side looking all over the winner and then flattening out. I just wonder if the ground down stands side was just that bit slower in the last half a furlong….or is that wishful thinking. I guess we’ll never know.
I was obviously disappointed that Cunco didn’t win but I thought he ran a great race against what is clearly a good O’ Brien horse but it was baffling to see Isomer beat him as the further they went at Newbury the more Cunco seemed to get on top. He didn’t get any cover this time and that might have made a difference but ultimately he has finished a close third in a good race and can be expected to be competitive in the group races later in the year. It is still a spectacular start to have three 2 year olds out of five at Royal Ascot and to have them all there at the finish. It is going to be an amazing year – make that an amazing 15 years!!!
I will definitely be having a bet in the Prix Diane tomorrow as I love Swiss Range but I want to wait on the ground. It looks a very strong race with that brilliant unbeaten French filly that Steve Caution likes as well as Ballydoyle for the all-conquering….Ballydoyle team. They can do nothing wrong at the moment can they?

June 18, 2016 at 22:37 #1252361Great tipping today Joni
Disappointed to see Cunco and Frankuus get beaten but they will come back and Isomer reversing form with Cunco just confirmed what you said about him needing more cover, plenty of time yet. I noticed Miss Infinity popped in at Ayr in the first today after running 3rd to Fair Eva last time out. All the horses our boys and girls are beating are progressing and worth keeping an eye on.Jumping up and down at Newmarket cheering home Dartmouth in the Hardwicke, what a great win for Her Majesty in her 90th year and LOL Ryan Moore lets in Mr. Peslier for the birthday treat.
Great price 10/1 all thanks to Michael Stoute talking him down on the Morning Line in favour of Exosphere, oh but it was a close call, everyone was cheering and then just on the line you got that ohhhhhh sound that tells you it has gone to the wire. Superb racing this week at the Royal meeting, loved every day of it.Come on Swiss Range I’m putting some of my Dartmouth/Twilight Son winnings on her tomorrow.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 18, 2016 at 22:59 #1252370Thanks Jac. We have to remember that these are the very best 2 year olds so far and ours were far from disgraced. Queen Kindly only made her debut 10 days or so ago and I am sure she showed Group winning potential. Frankuus looked an out and out galloper who will win good races when stepped up. He only made his debut a week ago and remember how green he was! Cunco just took a while to pick up but he wasn’t beaten far by a horse that is fancied for the Guineas. I would be surprised if we didn’t see all of them win at at least listed level this season. Nice tipping yourself with Dartmouth and Twilight Son and fingers crossed for the gorgeous Swiss Range tomorrow.

June 18, 2016 at 23:17 #1252377So I see the money is coming in for Swiss Range as the rain has come and it is now soft at Chantilly. This is surely bad news for Ballydoyle? I have taken the 11-2 and hope she can run well.
£75ew Swiss Range – 11-2 – Prix Diane lost

June 20, 2016 at 11:16 #1252566Don’t you think Swiss Range ran a blinder in defeat Joni and thank goodness she didn’t get involved in any of the argy bargy that occurred behind her, it was a rough race. Think Gosden aimed her too high too soon and to be beaten by a top filly like La Cresonnierre is no disgrace. It seems that Even Song is the filly progressing the fastest now from those that raced against her. Golden Stunner 2nd to Swiss Range in a class 4 maiden in April won again at Newmarket on Saturday but only by a head from Michael Stoute’s Rostova.
Watching the Chesham Stakes recording again over the weekend on Ch.4 and seeing Cunco’s antics going to post it’s no wonder he was beaten, he has such a fiery character just like his dad in the early days and would think Isomer will struggle to finish in front of him again. Really loved Frankuus
he has a lovely attitude and stayed on well at the end of race, think he will definitely win again on a faster surface. What a great week and the Queen’s winner signed it off nicely on Saturday.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 22, 2016 at 16:18 #1252828An interesting race the next at Salisbury. Ryan Moore aboard what looks like the well-handicapped Dell’Arca. Touch The Sky is the danger so have done the forecast.
£80 win Dell’Arca – 15-8 – 4.20 Salisbury lost
£25rev f/c Dell’Arca and Touch The Sky"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
