Irish have a strong record in this race and got strong hand here. But i like
THREE MUSKETEERS 16/1
Made no mistake 2nd time over fences where he beat Actival and next race be over CD when he goes for the dipper over christmas week.
December 30, 2015 at 12:19 #1227671Anyone thinking of backing Tea For Two for the JLT or RSA – Don’t!
I hear the horse will in all probability miss Cheltenham entirely. Thought by connections best right-handed.
Value Is EverythingDecember 30, 2015 at 12:59 #1227675Looking forward to seeing Three Musketeers in the Dipper. I too was impressed with his win at Newbury.
JLT picture still to become clearer but one for the shortlist should he oblige on Friday.
December 30, 2015 at 14:10 #1227681Killultagh Vic has been the most impressive Irish novice chased of Willie over the longer distances. He might go for this or the RSA
December 30, 2015 at 15:45 #1227688I’m hoping to see Seeyouatmidnight line up for The Dipper on Friday. The way he ran in The World Hurdle, bang there until the last, suggests that The JLT, rather than The RSA, might be the best option for him, though no surprise to see connections consider The RSA, or The National Hunt Chase.
He looks just short of top class at this stage of his career, but still a very decent animal, and with the continued confusion over targets for all the big guns, particularly those from Ireland, then I’ve had a small goes at 33’s each way for this race.
December 30, 2015 at 23:31 #1227719Good to see lami serge entered up once again, assume the entry means he’s got over his chest infection.
I’d be assuming that this won’t affect his ability.
Genuinely believe from nicky hendersons tone of voice the story about lami having a trapped epiglotis last year and him being distraught that he diddnt finish in the top 2 in the supreme, he was adamant that this is a much better horse than he showed on that occasion.
It’s very rare I will believe a trainers excuses but on this occasion it
Led me to backing him at 14/1 for the arkle to cover my 3/1 douvan.January 4, 2016 at 20:40 #1228427Other than Vautour going for the Champion chase trying to 2nd guess a Mullins horse for an Ante-Post target is like Pissing in the wind however I believe Shaneshill is tailor-made for this.5/1 now isn’t exactly inspiring but come the day he could be 7/4fav,5/1 will look big then.
January 4, 2016 at 20:55 #1228430I took Shaneshill today for this. If Mullins has him peaked cant see much else to beat him.
Charles Darwin to conquer the World

Trying to second guess Mullins is made out to be rocket science when it’s far from it. I know you love a bit of foresight so check it out. Second post on the novice chasers thread Gord, on the 2nd of November, the cabbage was placed on Shaneshill at 12’s. The race is perfect for him. When have I been wrong about a Mullins’ horse’s Cheltenham target before having parted with cash? It doesn’t happen!
January 29, 2016 at 05:08 #1231071No love for Bristol De Mai anywhere on this forum? Wow. What a beast. Go back and watch his 3yo Chepstow G1 win over Karezak. Consistent, jumps brilliantly, 5 starts over fences before the Festival, beaten for pace by Ar Mad and G le V (the latter was also a tough chase debut, a 4yo vs a 6yo), toyed with practically all other rivals and has a good Cheltenham trainer. If you want to be picky, you could say he might lack the balls for a fight, but he won by a neck in France one time so probably reading too much into it.
Very, very early days yet though. Still an awful lot of contenders.
February 7, 2016 at 19:33 #1232735Race is wide open this year and despite a bad run in terrible ground Zabana will improve significantly on better ground
February 10, 2016 at 18:01 #1232994Kilultagh Vic is out of the JLT…
February 10, 2016 at 18:02 #1232995BREAKING: JLT Novices’ Chase favourite Killultagh Vic has met with a setback and will miss the festival and probably the rest of the season
February 10, 2016 at 18:03 #1232996Desperate stuff Gord, just seen your tweet, thought he was a cert, and the only shorty I was planning on backing. Gutted I’ll miss seeing him at Cheltenham. Hope it doesn’t affect your bets too much
February 10, 2016 at 18:15 #1233000Absolutely gutted. Had the band biggest bet bet of the festival on him to win any race at 10s
February 10, 2016 at 18:16 #1233002* the 2nd biggest bet
February 10, 2016 at 18:54 #1233016Commiserations to all…this is a nervy time for us AP backers. I had KV in three or four bets but not to that much money. But coming on the back of Traffic Fluide and Peace & Co’s poor performance at Sandown, I’m awaiting the next blow.
I believe I am now more worried about Vautour than W Mullins is!
