Watched it again and think you could be right there Catherine.
‘Sharkey’ Weaver seemed to be all over it after the event.
I wish Rossa had just said no comment as, according to articles on RP this evening, his outright answer seems to have caused some confusion as to whether he will be picking up spare rides for Amo in the future.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 19, 2022 at 23:45 #1611959Didn’t watch it today as I was at Salisbury.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s mute-fest, however.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 20, 2022 at 08:02 #1611984Maybe something has happened behind the scenes that we do not know about but it seems strange for Ryan to lose the job at this time of the season. He does not seem to have done anything wrong on the track.
August 20, 2022 at 08:24 #1611987I’ve completely forgotten overnight what it’s like to go for a Day At The Races.
Can you dress up smartly?
Can you sit on chairs on a lawn and enjoy food and drink?
I do hope ITV Racing will provide some sort of reminder today.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 20, 2022 at 08:35 #1611990You can do what you want ID. Drink to oblivion or snort coke in the toilets followed by a tribal scrap with fellow n*bheads.
August 22, 2022 at 19:33 #1612300Can’t fault ITV Racing for the extensiveness of their coverage as, in addition to Saturday, they are at Goodwood and Beverley on Sunday.
Coverage includes a seller at Goodwood!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 23, 2022 at 15:25 #1612350I’m a Jumps man, with very little appetite for the flat, but interesting they’re going with two cards that are effectively only offering a Group 3 race which, as you say, Ian, as a consequence takes in a seller. Am I missing something here or is it just some bonus Sunday racing on terrestrial telly?
August 23, 2022 at 15:28 #1612352I’m not going to knock it as I will most probably be at home watching, but it is an interesting choice, not least because it’s on ITV1 not ITV4!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 24, 2022 at 13:33 #1612406Perhaps you are thinking of the Sky Bet Sunday series?
The Sky Bet Sunday series from what I know are a number of meetings shown on tv under the same banner with various incentives for connections, the programme of meetings I now believe is concluded, with the aim of promoting the sport to the wider public which can’t be a bad thing.
good luck to allAugust 24, 2022 at 14:28 #1612411It was heartbreaking on Sunday. The Dalgleish horse lost out on £100,000 bonus by a whisker. The winning horse was ridden by Cieron Fallon. I don’t think I’ve ever known a jockey and connections feel so bad about winning a race. The Dalgleish team took it so well but we just wanted to cry for them. No one knew what to say. I feel so sorry for the stable staff. Although they had won another bonus but £100,000 is a lot of money to miss out on by a whisker.
August 24, 2022 at 15:16 #1612415The owner, a knight, was very magnanimous as he can no doubt afford to be.
The trainers reaction told you all you needed to know about how much it meant for the stable.
It was heartbreaking Moe.
But the Sunday Series has been a big success since it started. With the big competitive fields that we’ve been crying out for, decent prize money for the grade and tv coverage I think it’s been superb.
August 24, 2022 at 15:43 #1612418We were numb watching it. I just wanted to cry for them. As they said on ITV racing, it was a Devon Loch moment.
August 27, 2022 at 13:09 #1612627Back home today after a lovely evening at Goodwood last night.
Was actually very kindly offered tickets for today and tomorrow too, but I like to retain the novelty of going racing by not doing it too often and anyway both days are on ITV Racing, along with both days at my beloved Beverley where, by the way, I was on this day last year.
Coverage about to commence – won’t actually switch the TV on until 1.10pm, though, in these energy crisis times, and the mute button is at the ready!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 27, 2022 at 14:10 #1612639Have to say I like the addition of Megan Nicholls as part of the team as she makes a lot more sense than most of the other presenters (although to be fair that isn’t always a particularly high bar in of itself to better).
With her moving on from riding, hopefully we will see a lot more of her (she is also on RTV as co-presenter as well) going forward especially during the NH season considering the insight she can no doubt bring to the table about her dad’s horses.
August 27, 2022 at 18:24 #1612663I really enjoyed it today, but then Goodwood and Beverley are two of my favourite racecourses.
And, of course, silence is golden.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 28, 2022 at 08:54 #1612701Some might argue today’s ITV Racing will hit a new quality low, but I’m really looking forward to it.
Two of my favourite racecourses, a seller for what look to me like juvenile hurdling prospects, and three races again on the Beverley Westwood.
God’s in his heaven – muted, that is!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 28, 2022 at 12:28 #1612709If there are no or hardly any Irish voices on it today, try listening to it today Ian. You may be surprised, and enjoy!
Chapman was quite funny the other day at Newcastle when he led the programme. Good banter with Weaver and his interview with the man who had had lung and heart transplant’s also was amusing at the end.
He keeps on at Haggas about Baeed running in the Arc, and Haggas just jokes to him now. Chapman was saying that Haggas may not listen to him, but might do to this chap with the transplant’s.
I found overall the programme tolerable and as TV as a whole is utter gash nowadays with little worth watching I am welcoming these live programmes of the sport we love.
I can now put up with it more myself! -
